Well I started playing the summer of 1976 I was 12 years old, and have been playing ever since.

Add another one to the pre-teen catagory.
I got the pink basic set (Otus art cover) in 81 or 82, so I was either 9 or 10 at the time. First played about a year later, after I met someone else who was already playing. Played regularly up until about 18, then occasionally in college. Stopped playing about 95 after I graduated, then started up again in 99 and have played weekly since then. I'm now 31.

Age 10, year, 1982, started with AD&D 1st ed. Went through 5 fighters before I figured out that a cleric could get BACK lost hit points.

Played Basic, 1st ed., 2nd ed., and now 3rd ed and will sign on for the upcoming 3.5!

I started gaming at 9, in '83, with the red boxed set. Pretty much haven't stopped since.
