Call me crazy, but I don't think it makes sense to memorialize anyone involved in a hate group, violence or terrorism. Anglo or not.

Then the question becomes who makes that call. I know it is really the mods and the owner of the site, but a member posts something and he might be pro side A and thinks that side B are all the bad people. Where others are just the opposite.

Morrus is not the U.S. Government, in whole or in any part. Our Constitutional freedom of speech does not apply.

You may not have the freedom to post about the death of a particular individual - you might get lucky if we don't see it and nobody reports it...

You may not have the freedom to confront another user about posting about the death of a particular individual... especially when we have made it clear for years that we want you to report problems and not engage personally.

And yet we do that every day, we just make allowances for certain types of hate, and certain types of violence, and certain types of terrorism. And don't get me started on anyone who has ever been involved in the TTRPG industry.

Whose perspectives gets enforced, and whose perspectives get erased? And who gets to decide? Other than, obviously, Morrus.

In the divided times we are in, different perspectives would apply these labels to different people.

One thing I'll say that I learned over the years. In the west, we tend to think that we have enough (or even accurate) information to judge a political situation, but most often we're not. Every single time I've had the chance to either visit or exchange extensively with someone from a country where a highly political situation was happening, I realized that most of the information I had been given (and was forming opinions from) was inaccurate or incomplete.

Hate takes many forms, as does violence. And one terrorist might be someone else freedom fighter (I think that's an actual quote or something?)

Just curious. Which Middle Eastern political figures would you like to see memorialized?
