I got a handsfree bluetooth for my phone, and I never fail to use it in the car. It's on before I put the car into gear. With two kids at home I don't see any reason to take chances.
The headset auto answers the phone after two rings, so I don't have to look away from my driving on the off chance someone calls me. I also set it up for voice dial, so if I do have to call I can just push a button on the headset and say the keyword for the person I want to call. Again, no reason to take eyes off of the road, and even that hand is only busy for a couple seconds. At no time do I need to use two hands for anything
I don't use the phone in the car often, but I've still taken the time and expense to get myself set up to be as safe as possible.
I'm amazed that hands-free isn't legally required.
