Where can I find the coolest Lizardfolk?

First Post
Pure fluff-wise, where (both book and campaign setting) can I find the coolest/most interesting Lizardfolk, fluffwise? Technically speaking, it doesn't even have to be d20. I'm also curious about the best location for Lizardfolk-related magic items/PrCs/spells/etc.

Forgotten Realms' Sepent Kingdoms?
Eberron's Blackscale and Poison Dusk Lizardfolk from MM3?
Arcanis' Ssethregore book?
Slayer's Guide to Lizardfolk?
Warhammer's Lizardmen?

You might want to look in the used section of your FLGS for Mayfair's Lizardmen. It has the ancient lizardman empire (just like everyone else it seems) break up into several different races. You have tree dwelling monks, soul exchangers with giant lizards, insane super tech users, arctic and desert dwellers and a couple others.

Arcanis, and its Ss'Ressen.

Look up Ssethregore: In the Coils of the Serpent Empire for a detailed history of this slave race bred by the Ssethregoran serpent lords. Lots of nice creepy flavour.

I like the Aztec stylings with the Warhammer lizardmen.

The Inphidians in the Necromancer Games Tome of Horrors II are quite nice, think humanoid lizardmen, but with snakes instead of arms/hands - they have to use special gloves for fine gripping, but otherwise have two bite attacks with the two arms. Don't have the full details here and I believe there are some more options with them in the upcoming Tome of Horrors III

Problem with the Warhammer Lizardmen is that there's an AWFUL lot of sci-fi involved with some of their 'magic'. Take a look at the "Shield of the Old Ones" and the "Scepter of Fire", they're all high-tech gizmos left behind by the Old Ones.

I like inphidians a lot, but I disregard the glove thing -- I consider their arms' jaws and forked tongue to be able to do fine manipulations alright.

Also, since each "handhead" has its own eyes and nostrils and ears, I've creeped up my inphidians a bit. They get all-around vision, can peek at corner with just one hand, can stay immersed indefinitely as long as one handhead stays emerged, and they can eat and drink from their arms as well as they can from their true head. They get a +4 racial bonus on Spot, Search, and Listen checks.

And if you cut off an inphidian's arm, it turns into a normal snake.

Spelljammer (of course). :)

The lizardfolk got stronger and (especially) more intelligent the closer their eggs were to a sun while they incubated. Somewhere along the lines, they discovered this and started buying or building egg-carrying ships to orbit close around the sun in their crystal sphere, so the entire race became more like the lizard king from old editions.

Plus, outside of the Astromundi Cluster, Spelljammer lizardfolk didn't have the cliche of ancient lost empires - but the solar explanation showed how their terrestrial kin lost their empires in all those other settings.

The illustrated guide to Lawyers?

How about Texas? If you want to find the coolest Lizardskin boots go to Texas.

Tin Lizzy?

Michael Jackson? (lizardfolk is as good as guess as any at this point).

All this is moot anyway since EVERYONE knows lizardfolk are cold-blooded to begin with. The coolest lizardfolk would be the DEAD lizardfolk.

(I apologise for letting the voices in my head take over this post to post a complelty useless post to your well intendened post request for postings of posted lizardposts. I like Fjords. The F-J is just such a coolest letter combo that is rarely ever used anypost. Like Fjelly, of Fjulmphh, or fjpost.)

Whooooaaaa I have fingers. Guess which One! I get it now! He was talking about his post one. Cool post.)

Need more coffee, post of reality slipping. Post coffee, post more later.
