You left out a few fun series':

U1 The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh
U2 Danger at Dunwater
U3 The Final Enemy

L1 The Secret of Bone Hill
L2 The Assassins Knot
L3 Deep Dwarven Delve

C1 The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan
C2 Ghost Tower of Inverness

You forgot about "Against the Cult of the Reptlie God." :)

I don't know what it's about, but "Dwellers of the Forbidden City" sounds really, really cool.

Given the new backstory with demons, the Abyss, and Tharizdun, "Temple of Elemental Evil" would be totally awesome.

I also voted for "Night's Dark Terror." My favorite part is the goblin attack on the village. I ran it in True20 once, making the goblin drums were an Inspire Fear effect. Hopefully 4e will be able to do something similar.

Think an overgrown Mayan city crawling with Yuan-Ti, Tasloi and Aboleths (each of which debuted with I1). Insanely cool module.

The "C" series are some of the best:
Tomoachan, Inverness, to find a king, etcetera.... those were great adventures.

then you have that stinking turd "Castle Caldwell and beyond", ugh. that was absolute dreck. That has to be one of the worst adventures ever made... on a par with the Marco Volo trilogy.

Likewise the "U" series (saltmarsh) and the L series (restenford) were really great also. I was an old-timer, but I always felt that the "U" series was far more intriguing than the GDQ series.

For brain-challenges, the "S" and "C" series were tops.

Man, it's just reruns on every channel tonight.
Has someone already started a thread about converting classic modules to the 4E system? Please point me in the right direction; I'd love to get some help/feedback on this project...the more brains the better.

In all honesty, I think the "U" series and several of the "C" adventures hold up well enough over time to exist today... (in fact, I've seen some pretty blatant homages to those adventures published by Goodman Games).

DCC3 "Mysterious Tower" = C2 ghost tower of Inverness
DCC7 "Secret of Smugglers Cove" = U1-U3 (Saltmarsh Trilogy)
DCC23 "Sunken Ziggurat" = C1 Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan

Anyone who suggests the "C" series or "U" series is not steering you wrong. Those are excellent adventures. I'd put them on a par with the Desert of Desolation trilogy for being really great adventures that I would consider still running today.

The "L" series is also pretty interesting. L1 is available as a free download on the wizards site. L2 was the first "murder mystery" adventure I'd ever seen (and it was done quite well). L3 was available in the 25th anniversary collection, and it looks like it could have used a little more polish.
