-Quick Hijack-
I know that we have had an en world colaborated city and a dungeon, has anyone ever considered an enworld colaborated setting complete with new monsters and maybe even prc's and such?

For those of you who are not fully aware, Al-Qadim is the campaign name for the lands of Zakhara, which lies on the same continent of Faerun, beyond the lands of Kara-Tur.
Not so much "beyond" as "to the side." If Faerûn is Europe and Kara-tur is Asia, Zakhara is Africa.

I never got into Birthright but a 3.5 version with relams management that worked for any setting would grab my attention.

Mine as well. Throw in the bloodline feats and related material from Dragon #315, and make it adaptable to any setting, and I'd certainly want it.

Planescape would be cool, but I've already got most of the old stuff already, and the Manual of the Planes, so I can pretty much run a 3.x Planescape campaign anytime I want. And, planar stuff was moved back into the core material, instead of separating it.

Al-Qadim would be an good possibility as well, writing it as a FR sourcebook could work, or it could be set up like the original, as a setting that was officially Realms, but could be dropped in any world. Besides, al-Qadim was a very popular setting anyway, iirc.

Really? I thought it was Blackmoor.
It's all fuzzy to me now.

Blackmoor was inserted into the Mystara/Known World setting with the DA1-4 Modules around 1987, AFAIK. I don't believe there was a connection previously.

I think we may have just called in 'Brun', the continent shown in the map in the Isle of Dread.

Don't we have enough settings already? :)

Not even remotely. We will have "enough" campaign settings when people stop having ideas.

The comment about "don't we have enough fantasy novels already?" is dead on the money. There's no such thing. If you're happy with what you've got, that's cool. But there's always another idea around the corner, and most of them will appeal to someone.

We don't need market saturation, certainly. But neither do we need an abandonment. So long as people play D&D--scratch that, so long as people roleplay at all--there will always be not only room, but need, for more settings.

Where did you hear this info from? About the Lady and other info about the Player's Guide to the Planes?

I have a friend who has informed of these possibilities. He used to work for wizards and quit about three months ago to get a degree in computer science.
