Which is your favorite Battlestar Galactica series thus far?

Never really liked or watched the Old ones. If I saw a re-run I may stop for a few seconds but quickly would turn the channel to something else.
The new series has been able to captivate me, and thus gets my vote. Granted I have only seen mini-series and one episode so far, but if I stay this interested I will go back and watch some of the originals just for comparison.

honestly right now I am also liking that I don't have an exsisting charachter in place for each person. I can watch and go with where they want the characters to go, not wondering at the changes from old to new. I know starbuck was a guy in the original and now starbuck is a girl. That is really abotu all :)

The old series was not horrible, but it was very 1970s sci-fi. Sure, it had some good acting, but the writing was beyond bad.

I don't see that middle entry up there, because that does not exist. I don't see it, so it doesn't exist. La la la la la! I can't hear you!

The new series is the second best sci-fi series I've ever seen: after Stargate SG-1, but ahead of Stargate Atlantis. And I'll get to see all three on Fridays! Bliss. :)

I haven't had a chance to really sit down and watch the new series (probably wait till it's out on DVD)

I remember watching the original Battlestar when it was still new ... I also remember watching it later on, and I still liked it. Sure it was 70's stuff, but the original Adama, Apollo, Ty, Boomer ... etc were all good characters.

I'm not sure I like the new Apollo to much, but the other characters seem like they'll grown on me easy.

What no-one to defend Galactica 1980, guess I will have to then.

Psych!

No I prefer the original. It felt warmer. I just cant get into the new series at all. I tried watching the mini-series but I never could stand it for more than 10 minutes. I can still watch reruns of the original without a problem. Personally I find the new series as unwatchable as Galactica 1980 (I guess I did end up sort of defending Galactica 1980 afterall).

I miss the John Colicos' version of Balter from the original series. I pretty much like everyone in the new series but I wish Number 6 would not be shown every 10 minutes.

This is like trying to pick between two of my favorite foods. It just isn't fair. The 1970s version, for all of its flaws, was the original, and deserves the respect and recognition that goes along with that. The new one is technically flawless, with incredible acting, amazing special effects, and a completely fresh approach to the genre. I love them both.

That's just a bad Internet rumor. Such a colossal abomination could have never been made in the first place... Right?

Now that we're well into the fourth and final season of the show's latest incarnation, have the poll results held up well?

You can't really tell, because somebody just voted. Oops. :D. But I really am enjoying season 4 so far.

Voted for the original, despite some really bad writing. Mostly because I don't care for all the doom and gloom of the new one. Stopped watching it after the second season. It may be (is) more 'realistic', but I want triumphant Heroes, darnit!
