I'll be playing Fourth Edition.

My current revised Third Edition D&D game, using the Pathfinder adventure path Rise of the Runelords, is converting at our next session next Tuesday night - which, thank the gods, because we're only now reaching the climax of the first adventure, and there are five more left to run!

I've already done some of the work in figuring out how to re-populate the encounters, and all I really need to do is adjust the treasure lying around. I'm not sure if we'll get through the rest of the adventure from the point the PCs are at now, but it's always possible, so I'll convert the whole thing.

I do need some kind of replacement for a barghest, though! Or maybe I'll just create it myself, depends. I didn't find making goblin dogs too hard.

Edit: I'm also running a solo Fourth Edition game for my wife, running five PCs, or so she tells me after I ran her through Kobold Hall. I will probably use the H-series of modules, converted to Eberron per the published conversion advice.

I also really want to run a World of Darkness game of some sort, most likely either Hunter: The Vigil in a style heavily influenced by the original Hunter: The Reckoning, or Vampire: The Requiem. Plus, I'm playing in a modern low-key action-horror GURPS campaign.

Thanks, I'm playing in a Rise of the Runelords game now...

How about using a spoiler tag on that if you're going to blurt out one of the monsters?

I've been playing HARP almost exclusively for a couple months now. Between working with it professionally as a 3pp and my growing admiration for the system, I doubt that this will change by the end of the year or at any point in the next.

I've already got a backlog of campaigns I want to run in HARP and HARP Sci-Fi (and combinations of the two) that would last for several years, that a year or two ago I would have been absolutely convinced should be played in d20.

However, I am joining a Mutants and Masterminds game this week... and if I can convince some of my old gaming group-- who hate the 4e rules-- to give the new edition a shot, I'd like to try some old-school dungeon crawling with it.

I'll be running 4th Edition, because I really like it, but I can't say for 100% certain that I won't go back to 3.x just because of the character generator issue if DDi doesn't deliver something in the near future. I spent a lot of money on official datapacks for PCGen and the lack of character software for 4E is one of the few things that's really bugging me.

My purely anecdotal experience with the local gamers is that ENWorld is representative. I know a lot of people who rushed out to get the new books and have since decided that the new version of the game isn't for them.

Some mix of 3.5, 4e, and Star Wars Saga, depending on what happens with various PBP games and my tabletop group. I'm not going to join any new 3.5 PBPs, but I've been playing with the same tabletop group since shortly after I moved out here, and I'm not looking for a new group.

My gaming dollars are going to:

:1: Pathfinder

:2: Castles and Crusades

:3: Other 3rd party 3.0/3.5 products

I've literally heptupled or better my 3.X collection over the last 6 months with local hobby and bookstores marking WotC 3.X products down to as much as half-off. I've also been snatching up 3rd party 3.X material dirt cheap off of Amazon and Ebay as well. Good Lord there are some deals out there!!

From a practical standpoint, there's absolutely no reason for me to switch editions. I've got enough material to last me 20 years!
