Whirlwind attack

Since all the mentioned options are attack options only require you to have an attack (not a whole attack action), YES to all three things. :)
But be aware, if you are countertripped or counterdisarmed you might be unable to continue your whilrwind attack...

WHIRLWIND ATTACK [GENERAL]
Prerequisites: Dex 13, Int 13, Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, base attack bonus +4.
Benefit: When you use the full attack action, you can give up your regular attacks and instead make one melee attack at your full base attack bonus against each opponent within reach.
When you use the Whirlwind Attack feat, you also forfeit any bonus or extra attacks granted by other feats, spells, or abilities.
Special: A fighter may select Whirlwind Attack as one of his fighter bonus feats.

Reading this more carefully, I'd say no (although I have no knowledge of the previous discussions and if there was a consensus), you can't trip / disarm when you Whirlwind. Why? Because you make one attack, against everyone within reach. The attack is the same against every opponent. You can't decide to make a regular attack vs. the 1st opponent, then a melee touch attack vs. the 2nd opponent, etc. (IMO)

They changed it to get around the Cleave after each whirlwind attack. Sadly. They'd rather have changed Cleave.

As for your question: I don't know why they changed it. Why is WotC changing our game? WHY?

hmmm.... so do you roll once or once for each opponent. By your interpretation you roll once.

That could be cool. I can really see someone with a halberd or a spiked chain swinging his weapon at knee-height and all his opponents falling over. I don't think the possibility is in the rules though. There could be a way to make the meta-mechanic and the action work...
