Whither the Thoul?

I read in another thread (maybe over at Dragonsfoot?) that the thoul appears in the Blackmoor campaign setting. If true, I'd be interested to see what it looks like. Is it OGC?

Thouls are hiding everywhere:

The good: "Thoul be mine ere the dawn's fair light!" saith the sinister villaineth, speakingeth to the fair princess(-eth).

The bad: The thoul Lord of the dismal keep, looming over the huts of the terror-striken villagers.

The cutesy-wutsey: Athena just loves the thoul's soft feathers and big googley eyes.

It does appear in the Blackmoor CS, but they are not OGC (from what I can tell, only the magic section of that book is designated as such).

They pretty much appear like OD&D thouls, but with Regeneration instead of Fast Healing (which seems more like what Thouls should have, since in OD&D once reduced to 0 hp they were dead), and they have added a strange vulnerability to wood to them. I say strange because they nevertheless use longbows and arrows, which seems odd to me.

Depends...was there much infighting between the Thouls?
