Why do girls get to have all the fun??

It says in the PHB that it is simply preference that drives whether you want to be a female or a male, but it seems to be more than that to me now.

There are NO, absolutely NO prestige classes that require you to be a male, and a couple (at least 3) that require you to be a female. Currently the only one I can recall is the battle maiden from oriental adventures.

Of course males are on average taller, but hey, that usually doesn't matter

It seems to me that females would be better at seducing, just because

Theres drow females fav. class=cleric and male=wizard (I think), and that's pretty balanced, but still, is there any advantage to being a male?

This doesn't deter me from being Corlon the male rogue, but anyone have any opinions?

Edit: Of course males are on average taller, but hey, that usually doesn't matter

Personally, male verse female depends on what the concept of the character is going to be. I pretty much play only male characters, it's the easy way to go.

On another note, there's nothing wrong with stealing OA prestige classes to use in your own setting. It's not like the bear warrior, shapeshifter and battle maiden (basically a cavalier, with the girls-only thing) have any features that mark them as being exclusively Asian. It doesn't take much to tweak them to fit almost any game world.
