Why isn't there an SRD for Star Wars RPG?

As for the creatures rules/examples/etc those are going to end up in the book Ultimate Adversaries that will be released....eventually...

So, basically I want to wait for the REVISED revised core rules (after the third movie), wait for the release of the Ultimate Adversaries book (and maybe the Ultimate Alien Anthology to be revised), wait for the revisions of the Jedi Order and the Dark Side sourcebooks.

I've found that, while I like to read modern-age and sci-fi rpgs, I don't like the idea of playing them. "The bad guy opens up with a machine gun, you're all dead. Oh, you want me to roll dice? Sorry, I don't own that many." (That's also why I want to develop something halfway between realistic-level GURPS and Greyhawk-level d20...)

Ugh...not getting into a revision rant again. I'm burned out on those. You asked for suggestions, you got them. Ultimate Adversaries was going to release this year, but got delayed until next from what I can gather.
If you're complaining about UAA having less species info that AA, then you're actually wrong. There's MORE info in UAA including the old stuff. The only thing missing are the creatures, and the species make up for it ten fold in my opinion.

I don't think there will be one. Last year at GenCon, Chris Perkins stated that the current plans were to do a Rise of the Empire sourcebook instead. Since they're pretty happy with the fixes they've made, I can see it happening. I may be wrong, but I'd be willing to bet they WON'T revise again.

I'm basically hoping to mine either (non-ultimate) Alien Anthology or Ultimate Adversaries for the monster creation rules. Frankly, ten minutes in Kinko's and $3.00 or less worth of copies (not the whole book) would get me what I want... Same thing with the core rulebook. There, I'd be interested in the classes (as examples of alternate fighters, nobles, rogues, spellcasters, and so on, but with Defense, Reputation, and WP/VP), the force powers section, and the feats and skills sections. And so on.

Maybe when I get a job again, a steady job rather than this contract work, I'll go for a few of the items, like I mentioned above.

But I'm more interested in sci fi rpgs as reading material than playing material. And I'm more interested in mining them for stuff than playing them...

Just a note in case someone didn't realize: They did do a second printing of the RCR which included some changes from the first printing.

GMSarli on the SWRPGNetwork boards (and the person who maintains the Star Wars FAQ) said he thinks there will be an official list of the changes eventually.

If you aren't aware of it, you can find the FAQ here

The thread where I asked about a list of changes can be found here

Max

PS I know you knew that Morindin :D

Ah...now I understand. :) Though I still say the UAA has good reading material. As for creature creation rules...hmm...as was mentioned, those are in the RCR..well, mine anyway. And if that's all you really want from AA then grab the RCR for everything else too...
Though I've learned its not too hard to port over species to D&D either. I needed an interesting species of Draconic guards....my PCs realized three days after the game they were Trandoshans. :D :D
