Why would/did you become a community supporter?

I've been wanting to get a Community Supporter account for a while now. Not because I think I'd really use the benefits, but because I'd like to support the community. However, the life expenditures of college have prevented me thusfar, but it looks as though I'll be able to get one in a month or two. But it just got me thinking about why others have purchased accounts and whether or not they thought it was or was not a good investment. So...

Why did/would you get a CS account?
Why wouldn't/havn't you?
Are you happy with your decision?

I originally bought a CS account to get access to the search function, and that's paid for itself a few times. I renewed because I want to support the site financially, keep the performance of the servers up, generally help keep the place ticking, AND get access to the search function. :)

Two reasons. I like the extra features (Search, PM). ENWorld deserves my support.

To support the site, the love I feel for it and the people that run it, for the job they do and service they provide, for building a community of people with the same interest, for the time they took to provide this to us, not just for the respect they showed me but the respect they showed the games, the fan base, the industry.

To say THANK YOU.

Why wouldn't/havn't you?

I haven't for two small reasons.

1. I can't afford to spare in say $10/£5 to it.
2. I'm not that bothered. I come here to read and post about D&D and gaming. I'm not bothered about the extra functions.

You're bothered but not bothered? Please explain.

1. I enjoy the extra functions, particularly search.
2. I reap more than the cost of the CS account in personal value, ranging from suggestions, rules clarifications, interesting conversation, product reviews, pre-release information and an expanded group of friends. One of my two gaming groups is made up people I met through EN World by virtue of a Gameday event.
3. The custom titles are cool. ;)
