Why would you want to play *that*??

I have de-pokemonized much of the D20 System to make it do what I want. Of course, the new rules are still a work in progress, currently in early playtesting. There will probably be revisions based on player input.
Have you considered compiling the finished product into a PDF and distributing or selling it? It seems pretty interesting stuff to me; even if I am pretty content with D&D as written, I like the professional way you've knocked out this stuff and the ideas are solid.

I gotta say it. Pokepunk sounds cool.

Oh, and Shadowfax WAS a pokemount. :) (Poke at RC. Good to see you back.)

I also love how the anime canard gets tossed about by people who obviously have never seen the show. The post about DBZ was spot on.

Let's see, we've had latest gaming styles compared to video games (Final Fantasy) and anime (DBZ and Pokemon). What other hoary old lame ducks can we toss into the air.

Just as a final point. I got kudos for my 1/2 fire elemental. Does that mean that when I played a halfling paladin solely for the fact that his mount is small and I can use mounted combat feats indoors that I'm not powergaming since I'm playing a core race?

Sir, that was the only good thing about losing months of posts, and here you bring it back. :]

Ah, but I hope that my comment about the lame Mewtwo movie was evidence enough that I have not only seen Pokemon on TV, but (my love for my kids must know no bounds) also at least one of the wretched movies.

Something isn't a "hoary old lame duck" if it is also true.

Moreover, I believe someone earlier said "Of course, that's equally true of elves, gnomes, dwarves, and so on." So, yes, of course you're powergaming.

As Dr. Awkward pointed out earlier, the game dictates victory conditions, and hence dictates how it is played. Unless you alter the victory conditions (and even if you do to the extent that I have), some level of powergaming is mandated by the system itself.

Oops, sorry RC, that anime thing was not leveled at you. As you say, you at least have passing familiarity with what you're talking about.

Granted, I disagree. I don't see summoning as "poke" anything. It can be, if you allow it to be, but, to each his own. Personally, I approve of the summoning spells simply because they are far more tactical than direct damage spells. This adds to the game, IMO. YMMV of course.

I want to play a half-Elf(your fey elf) Half-Fishman Dragon in your campaign. Whats my LA, my crux, and my favored class?
I have half-fishmen in my game ;) The garibaldi is the offspring of a human and locathah. (What, never wondered why the gill-man took a human captive back to his cave?)

(If somebody came to me and said, "I want to play a flumph in your game" I'd bend heaven and earth to allow it.)
In my games, flumphs are known as uphlum and are related to both mind flayers and aboleth. They tend to possess evildoers, forcing them to perform acts of kindness.

Can you send some illithids round? I've got all this leftover brain from a dinner party, and it'll only end up in the bin if no-one eats it.

"I'm only going to throw it away." Well, doesn't that make you feel just dandy? Here, quick -- eat this before it rots. I'm only going to throw it away. :p

Ah, Icebox Man. George Carlin at his best.
