Wild Shape and Appearance

When a druid assumes a wild shape do they always appear the same? Example, I like to wild shape into a tiger, do I always look like the same striped pattern? Or do I look different each time I turn into a tiger? Can a druid chose to appear differently? As long as it's in the realm of the realistic? Or am I putting way too much thought into this?

The new forms significant physical qualities (such as height, weight, and gender) are also under the character's control, but must fall within the norms for the new forms species.
