D&D 5E Will they release tidbits to build anticipation?

I am curious what the final rules look like. I am hoping that they will release some spoiler material prior to launch. Would they be foolhardy not to? I think they would.

If they were to release a tidbit what would be the most important one for you?

For me I want something on the modularity. How exactly are they doing the rules modules? Will they have "game modes" or just a myriad of dials and levers?

I'm sure they will. (In fact, doesn't Legends & Lore count? Haven't they been releasing tidbits for years now?)

More than anything (now), I want to know what their plans are for the DDI, and then for open licensing. The answer to one or both of these could, of course, be "we have no plans", and I would be fine with that - I just want to know.

Beyond that, probably the thing I would most appreciate is getting to see a few actual pages. I don't really mind what part of the books they come from, but again I would like to see what we have in store.

After that, I think I'm pretty much okay with whatever they choose to reveal, even if that's nothing. The rest of my questions were answered on Monday.

This edition has been shared!

But I agree that I would like to see some more explicit previews of finished material.

I would guess that at GenCon they will say more on releases through '14 and '15.

I've got a serious case of Next Blue Balls (can I say that here? ;)).

But seriously - anything is good as I'm very excited! I suppose I wan.t to see how it differs from the playtest rules

The Legends & Lore articles have been like a morphine drip... I get agitated when they don't arrive on schedule. I'm looking forward to the Q&A coming back, too. Thompson, you've been married for days already, get back to work feeding my addiction!

Never mind, Fifth Edition is com... on it's way. :)

Some informative L&Ls and the odd glance at the content, that'll do nicely.

I think there is a big difference between pontificating about game design theory and throwing up a tidbit and saying here is the game. And this is why I think we made the right decision on this. Or no need to even justify. Just say this is how we did it. Then everyone can look at it in amazement. I am for letting the game speak for itself and not hard selling it. They hard sold 4e, I think that met mixed results.
