You guys need to unite. It's freezing here -- on April 28th! I'm reverting to my previous policy of only visiting in August and September.

July is much better than September, especially given the Fringe and the Folk Festival.

No way! Snow rules! Cold weather rocks! Hot weather sucks! I love it here because I love the weather. :p ...except in the summer. Then I love the basements of air conditioned high-rises.

Algolei is 40 now (yeah! aging!), playing with two groups (a friend from high school and his acquaintances; and my nephews and their friend(s)) each once a week. "Living" in Transcona (Murdoch Mackay sucks! w000t) but playing wherever someone can find a roof. Started D&D in '79 although I didn't actually play until '80 or '81 (wish I still had my blue Basic rulebook *snif* it was beeyoootiful).

My, my, can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Winnipegger.

I'm 33, living in Wolseley/West End but raised in EK. Well, sorta raised --- born there, then the family buggered off until we returned in my teens. In the interim we lived in Flin Flon, Red Lake, Edmonton, Red Deer, and a few other no-horse towns. To forget my sordid past in Hellberta, I heavily subsidize the King's Head Pub.

I'm an archaeologist working for a university. My areas of interest include physical anthropology, forensics, and mortuary archaeology. I've worked on a few forensic cases, including a 6 month stint with the RCMP in Vancouver. I've been gaming since 1983-ish, playing everything from D&D to Elric to WFRP (with mega-doses of Traveller thrown in). I'm currently running two games: (1) a Mystara campaign involving greedy mercenaries who have doomed the world, and (2) an historical game set in Greece in the 1450's. I've been lucky enough to get a few gaming writing credits recently, with which I'd like to continue despite their paying even less than archaeology.

I also think KeyCon should be shot, and I know a good place to bury it. :]
