First Post
Finally finished this monster the other day. It still needs some window dressing, like cannons, but the ship itself it D-O-N-E.

Do you guys use worldworks stuff in game? I was thinking about picking up some of the dungeon stuff, but I wanted to kinda hear from some other players about it first.

I tried to do the whole dungeon thing once -- it's kind of tough if you don't
game at your own house. The models you can make are incredible, but not very
portable, imo. Imagine building a castle in Legos and then having to bring it
to a friends house.

That said, they've got EXCELLENT props. In the middle of "Idylls of the Rat King"
module by Goodman Games, there's a fight in a warehouse room with crates everywhere.
So, prior to the game, I made 30 or so crates (only a couple of hours while watching
TV) and brought them to the game and set up. The whole experience from both
DM and player experience was incredible --- I dropped down the figures of who the
characters saw, as they entered line of sight; one of the fighters started throwing
crates around so we could simulate that; characters strategized between hiding behind
stacks of crates, firing, etc. Very memorable.

That is cool. We play at my place, well actually at a cabinet shop my dad owns, so we have plenty of room and plenty of storage space. Our group never really uses miniatures, but we are going to start the world's largest dungeon soon and I thought that would be a good time to start with mini's.

I use them a lot, but I don't try to map whole dungeons. Normally I only set up the scenery for important (pre-planned) encounters. I have some samples on minis page (see link in sig). :)

There are some great pictures of other WWG users' stuff here.

EDIT: Ooo-kay, for some reason my sig won't show up in this post, but you can see the link in my first post above.

I have a bunch of the WOrldworks sets, but I really don't have the time to make and use them as much as I'd like to. I'm working on a few encounter areas now for an upcoming game, but I'm not even sure I'll finish them by the time we need them. :\
