Worst Character Name

The Rogue in my group is named Paco Skidowski. In the first game session Paco had no skill points in Search. After a few levels when he brought Search and Disable Device to their proper levels, he still kept rolling extremely low and set off every trap instead of disabling it (at least the traps that he found which for some reason were not that many).:D

That is a true story, I am not joking!

Two from past players that still make me cringe:

LG cleric: Justin Fair

rogue: Kcid Nikcuf

I don't remember any of mine that were really egregious, but when I was a teen playing 1e there was a stretch when everyone's cleric was called 'Father x' (x being the name of the player).

Oh the memories.

Awesome : the paladin.
[As soon as the game started, one of the other PC's said,"I say we make Awesome change his name or we KILL him!!"]

Quicksnatch : the halfling thief.
[My buddy "out-did" me in the next game by having his thief named Snaggit.]

Ugh : the fighter.
[One of my childhood favorites - was later killed by a Xorn.]

Koran : the barbarian
[I was 12 yrs old at the time and had never heard the name before. My father, a college religion/philosophy professor, explained the name to me later that night.]

If I remember correctly, I created all of these wonderful characters between the years 1982 and 1984.

Pecs O'Plenty --a Half-giant gladiator
Thief Thiefingstone --you guessed it, a thief
Bob the Mighty --a 1st level gnome illusionist
Jon Babtist Emmanuel Groz --5th element anyone?

I am not sure that I can mention the name of another character from high school, or should I say, nom de guerre. I seem to remember someone stating that he had a fake name which he gave to unfriendly guards and officials. It was based off of the name Bilbo Baggins, but replaced every instance of the letter b with a d.

well, for me, I was playing in a group with a whole bunch of retard players; the kind that make you start to resent playing and when it came to pick a name, I happend to look at my watch and voila One-o-nine was born

In the pursuit of making a name that was easy to remember, one person in my gamming group named his elven sorcerer(sniper) "Spike". Comming to his rescue, another person brought up the fact that he might have had a name like "Spikenthal" and that they just had it shortened for them.

Of course, I don't think he liked it when the rogue asked "what was that guys name again?" and I responded "Spike, like the dog's name" :)

My current gaming group is fun to game with, but terrible with names. One guy has a set rule that his characters never get a name until they reach 10th level. So, without further ado, here's some horrible names from my campaign.

Spilreggin - think about it, it's quite offensive really (hint: backwards)
Yasraena Azzahir'Akim Xorlarrin - drow archer
Axe - dwarven fighter*
MUG - gnomish tinkerer (a homebrew class I made)
Egor - elvish rogue (but the E is silent)

Meanwhile, I feel the out of place DM cause I'm making NPCs with "real" names like Arioch and Garuda and Xantravar...

* Inside story. I once had a PC named Hammer (a duergar fighter with a stunning Charisma of 7 and clinical phobias of water, magic, and the undead) who always used an axe in combat. So this player (who was the DM of that campaign) made a character named Axe, who always used a warhammer.
