Would you play a class with no special abilities?

I could see a use for this went multiclassing. I'd rather use this with rogue to increase HP and BAB and saves than fighter levels. It'd also be a good 1 level dip to start before you go into Fighter or Paladin just to get the first level x4 on those skill points.

Sorry sorry I forgot to add

Good BAB
All skills as class skills

But not weapon or armour proficiency at all. No other abilities.

Would it still be worth it?

The role this class would fulfill? I'm not sure, I'd probably say he represents the epitome of normal. non-magical training.

Right, so, one level in a warrior class so you're not running around all nude and unarmed, then. Or monk, so you're all nude and unarmed but still quite comfortable with that.

Load up on Skill Tricks from Complete Scoundrel and you're set.

So, would the black cowl and batarangs be a feature of the class, or would I have to buy those seperately?

Ultimately it's a bland class. It's the blandest class that ever blanded a bland bland. But it is possible to make your own fun via feats and the like. It'd be workable.

The moment I saw this I thought "hey they're using Dragon hit dice as a class." After checking the MM for what Dragon hit dice give you I decided that I wouldn't take this class. Dragon might only have 6 skill point but gives you darkvision but you gain some useful immunities and proficiency with all simple weapons.

I think I'd be up for it. If I get the itch for special abilities...well, that's what maxxed out ranks in Use Magic Device are for!

It's one of my roleplaying principles that any set of stats and any class can be fun if played as the correct character.

I would play this "class" in order to demonstrate the principle, and the character I'd play would be an Everyman - somebody dead normal with a few talents and interests, who gets sucked into the adventure against her will in classic Reluctant Hero style. I'd have to work with the DM on backstory in order to determine how and why she got sucked in, but she would be fun because she'd have clearly-defined goals, be well-integrated into the story, have a chip on her shoulder about being involved, and would supply a counterpoint to the adventurous/idealistic/career-driven play of the other PCs. She'd have an interrelated set of mundane skills (Craft, Profession, Knowledge, and whatever supports the specific field chosen) to start off with, and pick up others as she went, depending on what proved useful in play. I've more than once thought of starting a game like that, using an NPC class as the first level, but that puts you at a disadvantage relative to the other PCs unless everyone starts out that way.

What kind of starting money would she get?

More thinking on this topic: Perfect class for the Aristocrat! You were well-fed, you had access to any tutor you wished, and you were trained in the art of war (martial weapons & all armor). You are a tough SOB, and you better be, because everyone else wants what you've got.

Perhaps you'll dip into Paladin for three levels to showcase your Charisma; perhaps you'll dip into Fighter for two levels to pick up some tricks from your men-at-arms.

As an NPC class, it's also great. Every bartender needs levels in this one.

not to hard

The D12 is a fairly damageing diy, so it wouldn't be to hard, i myself play DND and I play a character without a great amount of abilities, but he has a great swoard and a good party behind him consisting of a wiserd, druid, claric, and a paladon.

Only if it was a very low-combat game. I just don't think I could have that much fun with a character who's only combat options are "hit him with a simple weapon". D&D is a very tactical game, and without any special abilities beyond those provided by feats from HD, I just don't think I'd get enough enjoyment out of the tactical aspects of the game.
