Would you Regularly play a Half-Elf if they get tweaked in 3.5?

I've seen several people mention that they like half elves but dont play them because they offer so little by way of benefits. Would the half-elf PC population of our gameworlds experience a dramatic increase in 3.5 if the half elf comes into its own?

Hey, I just finished playing a half elf ranger. I don't see what the problems is with them. Sure, they aren't the strongest race out there, but it's not all about the numbers. Or at least it shouldn't be.

Nobody's a bigger fan of flavour over numbers than me...but to me the half elf isnt really consistent RP wise either. they get some of the lesser elf traits and almost nothing from their human side.

So? It's not like playing a half elf automatically makes your character worthless or inferior to the other characters. There are too many factors in character creation. Sure race is a big part, but not so big as to dominate everything else.

~sigh~ No one is saying it does. I just dont believe their quite balanced with the other races AND as I already said from a flavour perspective to me it doesnt quite work. they arent like half human-half elves their like elves that didnt get the full benefits of elvishness...some elven abilities, no human abilties.

The problem is thats only helpful if you take 3 or more non prestige classes...something most people dont do at least in my experience.
The other races get at least one big perk and several little ones. the half elf at best gets the several little ones...and not even in a manner consistent with their heritiage.
BUT....I already did the "how/wether to fix half elves" thread. this is the" would you play them more if they get tweaked" thread.
