Anyone else have an experience with it?
So far I've played the first eight scenarios excluding the mini-campaign.
Solo hero play is extremely difficult - much more so than in Castle Ravenloft. The number of monsters is simply overwhelming and many hero powers don't work well with a single hero.
Group play, however, is very easy compared to Castle Ravenloft. The encounters are more forgiving and treasure is a lot better. So far I've beaten every group scenario in the first attempt (with two heroes each).
It's fun and I appreciate the new ideas (sentry monsters, doors, long corridor tiles, chamber cards, etc.) but so far I've enjoyed Castle Ravenloft more simply because it was more challenging - my success rate after playing all 13 scenarios was almost exactly 50:50.
I expect to enjoy combining the games, though.
Both games are money well spent if only for the game components, imho. Also, the options to customize the game are endless. BGG already has lots of fan-created material to keep you busy after completing the official scenarios.
