D&D 5E Xanathar's Secrets

The cover of Xanathar's "features a great many of Xanathar's treasures and secrets" according to the book. So can we identify everything on the cover?

Most of it is straight out of the DMG. Obsidian steed is obvious enough. Bag of holding (or devouring?), boots of speed, bracers of defense, tome of leadership & influence, decanter of endless water, lantern of revealing, but didn't see anything to match the cat icon thing.

The small book on the lectern seems to have a stylized beholder on the cover, maybe his journal?

The amethyst stones in the box could be some eyes of charming or something. Their covered in the image on the book, but it's a possibility

Has anyone translated the text on the lecturn?

Looks like the script is elvish possibly written upsidedown

update 1:it’s upside down and inverted in a mirror
update 3:the last word is probobly Xanathar
Update 2:identified the letter r in elvish
update 4:this is doing my head in please someone else figure this out
