Kalath looks over the dead Holy Warrior and his companions. "Heh, idealistic fools... the quality of those the Ancient Masters are sending seem to be going downwards."

Kalath takes all they have of value and then approaches the tomb door and says, "The fools have been dealt with. There is no password."

Kalath goes in and into the next room, and pulls the torch and heads downwards to the iron door.

When he reaches the iron door, he waits a moment and then says the password.

The three giants let him through and the usher him out into the street.

Around him the traffic of the City of the Bard moves.

Kalath turns left and heads down the street, then turns left again at the intersection and heads down the street the Whistling Dragon was on.

If Kalath sees a weapons and armor shop, he heads in.

There is indeed a weapons and Armor shop run by a stunted dwarf with ebony black skin and a flaming red beard. He is named Grot and his store is Grot's Irons. Actually Kalath sees a number of weapon shops further down as well.

Kalath also discovers over the course of his conversations that the area of the city he is currently in is called the cross. This due to the fact that it is two streets intersecting each other packed with stores and businesses on both sides of the streets. Each part of the cross is called by its direction, ie. North Cross Street, South Cross Street, East Cross Street and West Cross Street. Grot's Irons and The Whistling dragon are both on South Cross Street.

Kalath pawns the three leather armors, a dagger, a spear, a kama, and a sword off for a total of 11.5 yen.

With that money he purchases the following items.
Monkey-bone Club (+1 monkey, tree) -- 2 yen -- the bone of a monkey, polished into a club
Lucky Rabbit's Foot (+1 rabbit) -- 2 yen -- a lucky rabbit's foot
Ki-rin Horn Spear (+1 ki-rin, +1 spear) -- 2 yen -- a spear of ki-rin horn

And has 5.5 yen left.

As he is completing the transaction, Kalath asks, "I've heard there are passages leading lower somewhere in the city. Any idea where those might be?"

Grot is not the real informative kind but he grunts to Kalath that the South West Pillar leads down and that there is always the sewers.

Kalath thanks Grot for the information and leaves the shop.

Once back on the street, he walks back to the pillars, keeping an eye out for sewer grates or other entrances to the sewers while he walks.

When he reaches the pillars, he checks out the southwest pillar, seeing if it has an entrance.
