(YBA) Oskarn the Traveler on the Caravan Road.

"We have already agreed on your reward Herr Oskarn. And that is my final word on that matter. Good luck to you!" With that he walks over to his carriage and leaves.

"The man is cunning," mutters Oskarn to himself as he retrieves his horse and leads it out of the city. "I wonder if I shall have to fend off any rivals for the prize that Herr Bloombald sends in my wake?"

Doffing his stained cloak and floppy hat, Oskarn sweeps his vivid new cloak over his shoulders and sets out on the eastern road. He paces his steed, knowing that Yassra and his lackey will exhaust their horses in their headlong flight, allowing him to catch up with them over time. And better to snare the antidote from them, than to make the entire journey to the Crossroads...

As you prepare to leave the sables, a familiar face rounds a corner infront of you. "Lookie who we has here! Herr fansee pants himself. But you don't look too fansee now. Maybe your sneakin about looking for trouble. Da Boss wants a word with thee anyway. But first a bit o fun!." You quickly recognise the thug who had pointed his crossbow at you earlier with Thoric Grunwald. He pulls a club from his belt and advances on you.

(While this may not have been 100% clear, Oskarn didn't remove his disguise until after he'd already led his horse outside of the city. This may not prevent the thug from ambushing Oskarn, but it's still worth noting.)

"Help!" shrieks Oskarn in a high falsetto voice. "I am molested! Rape! Rape!" In the moment's confusion thus afforded, he attempts to dodge and tumble past his attacker, bolt from the stables, retrieve his horse and gallop from the city.

Attempts to escape: The mace dodges from the city and tumbles before the Guardian Range; dodges the cut of the maze!

In the confusion of the moment you tumble past the Thug and race for your horse. The Thug turns and chases after you. His club held high ready to strike.

The mace severs the brush; reduces the foray of the garden!

(3 escape attempts? Eek! Normally you only need one escape attempt... under these circumstances, I might as well have just tried to fight.)

Turning a corner, Oskarn plows into a crowd of people. Instead of continuing to run as quickly as possible, he cannily slows to a walk, attempting to become one with the crowd and blend in so that his pursuer won't even notice him. He recalls the chameleon lizard and its amazing abilities of camouflage as he calms his thudding heart and attempts to hide in plain sight...

The lizard becomes one with the plain; shields the quickening of the elements!

(Humm, I am not familar with how escape attempts work. I was trying for a nice chase scene. Well, I am going to rule that you escaped.)

As you dodge into the crowd and begin to move with them, the thug charges out of the allyway. Looking to the right and left, he charges towards the east gate. After he disappears down the street you reach your horse.

P.S. Have you forgotten about Lovecraft's adventure?

With a sigh of relief, Oskarn makes his way back to his horse. Keeping a sharp eye out for further trouble, he heads to the south gate.

(Sorry about being such a pain. You're running the game very well, especially in regard to allowing me to do stuff on my own while still keeping the plot on track. And I do plan to continue the Lovecraft game, hopefully later this week.)
