(YBA) Oskarn the Traveler on the Caravan Road.

[Yellow Sign]

"Oh, Herr Grunwald. Yes, he was here only a few weeks ago. But I have not seen him since." He motions to a large room with a bar and many tables. Patrons and serving wenches pack the room. The smell and sight of a roasting piglet over a fire pit makes your mouth water. Serving wenches carry large platters of breads, meats, cheeses, and foaming tankers of ale. "If you would like to wait, if I see Herr Grunwald, I will tell him that you are looking for him. Sir?"

 

[Ciaran]

"Actually, I seek Herr Grunwald's colleague, the merchant Yassra. I gather that he should arrive shortly, if he has not yet come already. Is he here?"

 

[Yellow Sign]

"Yes, Herr Yassra arrive a few hours ago. I believe that he has been staying in his room with his servant. Would you like me to show you to his room?"

 

[Ciaran]

Oskarn smiles at the innkeeper. "That would be most gracious of you. And if you please, I ask that you ensure that we are not to be interrupted." He lowers his voice conspiratorially. "My master requires that I conduct certain negotiations with these fellows, and he would prefer that our discussion remain discreet. Do you follow me?"

 

[Yellow Sign]

"Why most certainly, let me show you to his room. It is quite comfortable and quiet. You should be able to disscus any business you have there in the utmost privacy." As he starts for a large staircase, he turns to you. "Will you require a room for the night? Herr...?"

 

[Ciaran]

"The name is Bloombald," he replies with a cocky grin. "Of course, there is no relation with the esteemed Burgermeister... if you follow me." He winks cheerfully.

 

[Yellow Sign]

The man looks at you with a wide grin. "But of coarse, I understand completely. Please follow me." The innkeeper gestures you to follow and he leads you upstairs. He comes to a door and knocks. "Herr Yassra, you have a guest who wishes to speak with you." With that he opens the door for you.

 

[Ciaran]

Oskarn steps into the room and closes the door behind him. He glances about with a burglar's practiced eye, looking for doors and windows, valuable objects and places where they might be hidden, and so on. He also takes in those within the room, with an eye both for weapons and for their reactions to his presence.
