Your favorite Mini Companies

Greetings!

I haven't played D&D in a couple years, but I'm coming back now with a vengence. I'm ALSO getting into fantasy mini painting for the first time. I have a lot of experience painting Battletech miniatures, but not so much with Fantasy minis for D&D.

The Wizards plastic minis are okay... but I really want to paint my own. However, I've only been able to find ONE company so far that makes metal minis that I really like:

Now, they have a lot of fantasy minis, but I was wondering if there are any other really great companies out there that I can order metal D&D miniatures from. Special bonus if they have online ordering, since my local gamestore only carries Reaper brand

I like Black Tree Designs www.black-tree-design.com, but they are a bit smaller than Reaper and I don't know whats the best site to buy from in the US.

Brookhurst hobbies seems to be a good site for US buyers of UK produced minis. www.brookhursthobbies.com

reaper is the eiasiest to find, plus it seems like they have a basic mini for almost everything.

But theres also Rackham, hasslefree, spyglass, foundry and more I can't think of off the top of my head.

I have no idea how the actual game is but some of the Confrontation minis by Rackham are just awesome IMHO.

I can't seem to find the link but if you go to coolminiornot.com and choose Rackham, you can see plenty of examples.

A couple of online retailers I order from on a regular basis are Discount Hobby - they have a 99 cent line that is not half-bad and Fantization who sells some of the Heresy miniatures I enjoy painting so much.

A new company I have not ordered from, but are getting good reviews from others, is Exodus Road.

i've purchased some Hasslefree, too, and I really like them. Not the selection of a Reaper, but good quality. I believe they're a Mom-and-Pop operation out of England, so they're good to support as well. Very friendly to boot.

Rackham makes what I consider the best mini line available. My only complaint would be that the multi-part models tend to be very delicate and ill suited for use on my gaming table.
