Your First Character? (with crunch)

I'm looking to reconcept a monk/warlock/enlightened fist character I had in a previous game. Thinking a tough as old boot leather dwarf warlord/warlock (however that is achieved) focused on tactical advantage of warlord & curses/short range teleports of warlock. Still working on fluff/backstory.

If there is a Dwarven Defender type Paragon Path I will definately have a look at it. The prestige class for 3/3.5 is one of my favourite and hopefull 4e will make it more workable.

Hmmm, Eladrin might work better than Tiefling for sure, though there'd need to be some reason for him to try to shift his focus from the Feywild to the Shadowfell. I like the flock of ravens idea as well; he'll probably pick up some wizard abilities related to cold and freezing so as to better emulate some of her peripheral focus (W&M refers to her having ice and frost in her portfolio, and that she lives in a "Castle of Black Ice" deep within the Shadowfell).

It also makes quite clear that she's neither good nor evil, but decidedly remote, cold and in some ways unknowable. If he were to survive into the Epic levels, I'd have him angling along an Epic Destiny that would end up with him achieving the title of "Consort of the Raven Queen," even if it meant that he'd have to find some way to purge his own name from the history of the world.

Once more we think alike! My tiefling pally will consider himself the champion of tiamat, and will strive for her affection over all mortal women. During battle he will use the cry of "Blood and Souls for my queen./Blood and souls my love"

I just hope 4E out of the box will allow paladin's of tiamat (and paladins of any deity) some special power unique to that deity alone. so basically, something like hellfire/dragonfyre for followers of tiamat, or something ice based for the ravenqueen.

Anyhow, if you are indeed going to pick a level of wizard maybe you could go further and try to gun fora raven familiar, if its possible. Perhaps the raven could be your link to the ravenqueen, and from which the queen gives you her edicts/orders. (I doubt there will be a mechanic for this, but you can talk to your gm and work things out).

Razravkar Istari. Drow Wizard/Warlock/Necromancer/Psion/Illusionist.

I'll start him as a wizard with a bunch of feats to grab magical abilities from other classes (although if warlocks can use staffs, as I have the chainmail Drow Wizard mini, I'll go with it.). Main stats Int and Cha, dump Str, focus on spellcasting.

Most feats will be put into class training, with possibly a few racial abilities.

His goal? Get to epic levels, slay the Spider Queen, etc.

PH Paladins must be lawful or good. I think the DMG will have stuff for evil or chaotic paladins.

My character is going to be a Half-Elf Paladin who Multi-classes/Trains in Fighter, Warlord, and maybe Barbarian. :D

Since I'm mainly a DM I'll probably roll up a bunch of characters straight off the bat just to get a feel for them, particularly the Warlord and Warlock. If I end up playing I want my first character to be a Halfling Rogue with Cleric Training (think a doctor rather than a cleric) and then an Eladrin Wizard with Warlord training.

I'm really hankering to play my favourite character: A dwarven fighter. Also planning to play a Dragonborn Warlord sooner then later :D

If I get to play (that is, when hell freezes over ;) ) I will try to make a Dragonborn Fighter with Rogue- training that is a bounty hunter. Mechanically I will try to go for sword and buckler combination or sword and dagger if possible.

Skills and feats will be focused on finding people, both across wilderness and in urban areas.

Str, Int, Wis in the 14+, the other abilities as the situation dictates.
