A little over three years ago, my cousin Brandon and his father had a terrible fight. He left.
For a little over three years, my family has been searching for Brandon. He has, in the past, left for several days - even a week - at a time. He was a young man suffering from depression and a constant battle with drug addiction. As such, we invested a lot of time and energy in looking. My uncle has hired private detectives and even taken a long leave of absence from work to personally search up and down the west coast for Brandon. It was thought that he simply ran away.
Brandon was a wonderful person... talented, stubborn, and athletic... one of the most handsome men I've ever met. In the past three years, we have prayed constantly that someone - anyone - would find him and call us... or that he would finally get over that fight with his father and call us.
Today, my family's search ended. Brandon's remains were found in his car in Coos Bay (in Coos Bay, OR - his home town). The date on his clock radio indicates that he and his car have been in the bay since the day he left. It seems - though no one can be sure - that he took his own life.
I would truly appreciate any thoughts, prayers, and good vibes that you would spare my family.
Thanks,
Liz
