[sblock=Tomalak]You used concentrated attack on the previous round, it was expanded! Not that this is hard to errata since everything missed.[/sblock]

Matlal flanks the minion and inflict it its most grievous wound yet. The abomination is clearly feeling the pain.

It is tempted to turn on Matlal but ultimately decide to keep focusing on Jarel. Not being aware of the power of Montroya's invocation, the Minion keeps trying to batter Jarel with a frenzy of blows despite the divine protection the swordmage has just received.

[Sblock=Sleep]It makes your posts make more sense. Without it, you have trouble remembering things, too.

At least I didn't waste any good rolls.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Oops, I forgot to add the Combat Advantage from the bracket in my last round, I should have hit for 10 damage... dumb me.[/SBLOCK]

After dodging most of the blows, Jarel-karn swing at the monster and hit him. The Usurper's minion starts to feel a thunderous tremor inside him ready to blow if he escape the swordmage.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Standard: Booming Blade (1d20+11=21, 1d8+6=12) If he move away from Jarel-karn, he will take 1d6+3 damage.[/SBLOCK]

Montroya gestures with his staff, commanding the angel to move away from his allies. The deva jerks his staff downward suddenly, commanding the angel to attack. The fiery blade of the summoned creature slashes out and burns the flesh of the Ursurper's minion.

[sblock=Mal]You are right! For some reason, I've been thinking it was the hit ally that gained the bonus. I'll use it as my immediate action next time somebody gets hit.[/sblock]

Mesa takes a moment to look around the battlefield, but truthfully unless the beast had yet another as-yet unrevealed power hidden away, he had very little he could do besides...

"Thank ye, spirits of the sky, for helping so much today. I know i've called on ye more often than usual, but if ye've been paying attetnion it's been an unbelievably strange day. And so, I've got to ask ye again. Bring that beast to the ground!"

Lightning again rains down, but Jarel's blow staggers the beast enough for the bolt to miss, grounding out harmlessly in the street.

"A bit to the left, friends." Mesa moves to a nearby overturned cart and leans casually against it, his earlier bloodlust all but forgotten. "But it looked very pretty on the way down..."

[sblock=Actions]Standard Action: Storm Spike. 1d20+4=15,1d8+4=12. Clean Miss.
Move Action: Shift to E9.
Minor Action: Lean against cart. Ain't I a stinker?[/sblock]

Matlal fails to pierce the monster's flesh this time. The Usurper's minion isn't much more successful even though he tries to surprise Jarel by using his teleportation powers anew to manuever into more advantageous position. His following attacks were clumsy, though. Only his insbubstantiality afford him the hope to survive a bit longer; the monsters does seem, despite his fury, to be on his last legs.

[sblock=OOC]Ask and ye shall receive! [/sblock]
The beast's teleport takes Mesa by surprised, and he stands upright. A grin slowly crosses his face as he realizes the new position he was in. "It's time for claws again, ye great beast." He focused for a moment and, now in panther form, moved to attack. His claws passed through the beast, encountering little resistance along the way. The important part was, he had its attention.

Montroya moves closer to the minion, at the same time commanding the angel of fire to move closer as well, avoiding the tentacles of the creature. Another sharp rap of his staff and the angel lashes out with it's fiery blade, burning away some of the misty form of the creature.
