As the creature dissolves into the mist, Montroya inhales deeply...wrong idea. He hacks and coughs, falling to his knees. Losing concentration on his summoned ally, the angel disappears. The deva loses the contents of his stomach on the ground in front of him, which include pieces of rat.

Looking at the one that comes forward to help, the deva says, "Anything you could do to help would be great, Apoli would be thankful of you helping his servant."

Jarel-karn is sitting next to the reaper body he have dispatch, leaning on the cart next to it. He takes his breath and calm down. "We still have one man to find. That Rinch, who want to raise zombies to take down his competitor and scare the people for a protection racket. We should not waste time." tells the Genasis who stands up, but feels his legs and body weaken by the sickness that brew in him.

EDIT: He felt down on the ground and try to get his strength back, but it is only after One-Who-Waits looks at him that he recover form it. "Thanks"

[SBLOCK=OOC]Endurence, Heal (1d20+7=11, 1d20+9=27) Heal successfull. I have only -1 Surge.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC]Anyone is up to bringing the rookie up to speed In-Character. I don't even think he is up to speed OOC![/sblock]

Healers from the hospital, now certain that they risk no violence, start to pour on the battlefield, finding wounded and sick people everywhere. It is quite distracting to notice how every one of the Vena's disciple is exceeding handsome or beautiful, but they seem to know what they are doing.

A stunning blonde in a flowing white robe approach the heroes. With such good look, she has to be high-ranking in Vena's church!

-''You are true heroes! My name is Seldana, I run the hospital. You seem to be in need of attention, please come inside. Is there any way to repay you?''

[sblock=OOC]Assuming no one answers; ''No, beat it old crone!'', you will be rewarded on the spot with three healing potions. You will need it! You get to rest inside in the hospital which is the in-game explanation why your 'extended rest' will in fact take roughly an hour before you are back on the street looking for Rinch.

Someone will need to propose a course of action to continue the hunt.

[sblock=ooc]I haven't read the thread carefully but I have paged through it looking at plot stuff, so I do know roughly what is going on. One-Who-Waits doesn't, obviously.[/sblock]

Looking at the one that comes forward to help, the deva says, "Anything you could do to help would be great, Apoli would be thankful of you helping his servant."

One-Who-Waits bows. "What little aid this one can render is hardly worthy of thanks from the honored servant of Apoli, but this lowly spirit-talker is pleased to do anything he can, inadequate as it may be. The honored servant of Apoli must pardon this one's insistent curiosity, but this one would very much like to know what that malevolent creature is"--One-Who-Waits indicates the horrible deflated squid-thing--"and where it came from."

To Jarel-karn, he says, "One-Who-Waits begs the honored warrior's pardon, but what manner of person is this Rinch?"

Montroya stands, leaning heavily on his staff. He tilts his head in a brief bow to One-Who-Waits. "I am Montroya. The creature you saw us defeat had possessed or controlled a necromancer, who we defeated in the sewers below the hospital. Rinch is the leader of a gang of thugs, and presumably human. He is apparently herding undead." Montroya tries to keep this conversation to the group as much as possible, so as not to cause panic.

Montroya lets himself walk into the hospital, even as One-Who-Waits dotes over him.

[sblock=Mewness]You can go ahead and roll your heal check for me, I failed the endurance quite badly.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Mal; is the initial loss of surges ignored, as we are about to have an extended rest? Or are we down 2 from max, and 2 more, AFTER the rest?[/sblock]
[sblock=Mewness]Welcome! It's good to see you, and I know I'll appreciate a real healer in the group. Don't be surprised if Andrec doesn't talk much (esp) out of combat- he's a quiet kind of guy (re- not good with people, and knows it)[/sblock]

[sblock=Next course of action]I remind you that your main lead in tracking down Rinch is the knowledge that right about now he is trying to acquire 'The Heart of Darkness' and that the halfling thief that you killed had a message from Rinch asking him to report to the 'Cafe in front of the Warehouse' as backup.

Yes, you get extended rest. Those who are sick (Everyone but One-Who-Waits) will start with fewer healing surge (-2 or -1 depending on the checks)

Matlal will be leaving us since Ecce is MIA.

Jarel : Improving. He only loses 1 healing surge after the extended Rest.
Mesa : Improving. Same.
Montroya : Worsening. Lose 2 healing surge after ER, then, whenever he takes damage, he gains ongoing necrotic 2. Since a Deva resists necortic damage, it couldn't have happened to a better man!
Andrec : Worsening. -2 HS and he gains ongoing necrotic 2 every time he takes damage. Now that's a bit more problematic... give him some of the healing potions!

Time to be heroic and play on a broken ankle... I mean fight on despite fever, sweating and exhaustion, not to mention evil parasite.

[sblock=Healing potions]Who claims the 3 potions?[/sblock]
