    Dragon Magazine #337 details?

Just for posterity, I'd like to register my vote as YES. There's an old comic book maxim that putting a monkey on the cover increases sales by 50%. If Dragon still ran April Fool's issues, I'd be tempted to propose a Drow Pirate vs Monkey Ninja article. Hell, I'm still tempted to propose a...

    New Waterdeep????

I do believe it's a Maztican city, but I can't find a specific book reference. It's mentioned in several timelines I found online, and that's the best I can say. Patrick Y.

    Charles Ryan on Adventures

It amuses me that you think Psion has WotC "hate".

    Does anyone play True 20?

Yes, because it's mechanic assumptions are in line with mine, and because of that, I can use the system to play out the kinds of games I like, with the feel that I like, with very little compromise. Patrick Y.

    Charles Ryan on Adventures

Yeah, but would your coworkers be pleased if you said "I do a better job than anyone else" out loud where they can hear you? Patrick Y.

    Charles Ryan on Adventures

Well, my response is pretty much unprintable according to the board's rules. But I think it's odd that Charles Ryan would be surprised that people might choose to pull a chair up to the buffet rather than knife fight over the scraps beneath the table. Patrick Y.

Wizards Design Test: Who's going to submit?

Do you have anyone that could help you? A significant other or somesuch? My wife helps me doodle stuff occasionally, because some of my "art" qualifies as a blasphemy against taste. Patrick Y.

Sometimes, It feels good to be a writer.

I usually end up feeling the latter, couple with knowing it's already published and there's nothing I can do. But it's nice to see that occasional bit I just won't second guess. The cool feeling is really great. It makes me feel happy.

Sometimes, It feels good to be a writer.

I don't know if I should post this here, since I guess it could be construed as product pimping, even though I don't really pimp anything I write. But there isn't really a place I can go to and really talk about this sort of thing, with a group of people who know what I mean. I just got a pdf...

    Review Project take two

I'll review something, if you want. I haven't written a review in ages, but I do have a bit of experience working with d20 stuff. Plus, it's good practice to look at stuff from the reader's perspective once in a while, and actually write out what works for me, and what doesn't. It keeps me...

    Oriental City Suppliment

There's a couple. "City of Lies" is, I recall, the title of the boxed set describing the Scorpion Clan's capitol. Oh God, I wish I'd bought it when I had the chance. There's also, I believe, another describing the Imperial city, Otosan Uchi - oh God, how I wish I'd stolen the 5' wide map of...

Rate S1: The Tomb of Horrors (corrected poll options)

I gave it a 2 out of 10, mostly because there are some individually interesting traps, and the demi-lich was a neato villain. Otherwise, the module's encounters are hung together by the barest pretense of a thread, the individual traps are too often deadly because of game system probabilities...

Help me flesh out this village's history?

Glass Hill is so named because the hill it stands upon is extremely unstable, and forever under threat of sudden, catastrophic collapse. In the old days, the village was a hub of activity, and home to one of the largest, most prosperous mining operations in the nation. But then the veins were...

Are you looking forward to Magic of Incarnum?

Whoops! Then, apparently, I don't know enough about Magic of Incarnum to look forward to it at all. Ignorance protects my bank account from my splurge urge yet again! Patrick Y.

Are you looking forward to Magic of Incarnum?

I'm just curious to peek at the True Name rules, to see how they differ from the ones I did in Quint. Sorcerer, and the ones Monte Cook did in Arcana Unearthed. Patrick Y.
