Seek Triumph And Technology With Mutant Crawl Classics

Falling damage is under Other Combat Rules, on pg 138-139. Surprise is covered under initiative on pg 123, but you're right, there's no consistent method for determining surprise, and DCC doesn't have one either -- probably because it's one of those classic "ask five DMs, get six answers" issues.

Has anyone more infos about WotC Gamma World Booster Packs?

I have no doubt that someone out there in TV Land is in the process of transcribing the cards into a form convenient for printing on 3x5 cards, if only for personal use.

    Wayfinder #2 is out

Yeah this. It's rendering very poorly for me in OSX's Preview, not as bad in Adobe Reader.

Anyone else have trouble with the PDF being tremendously slow to load?

    Pathfinder 1E Dear Paizo

different squids for different kids. GW was my first rpg after D&D, and I've always been a sucker for the genre.

    Pathfinder 1E Dear Paizo

I would buy the hell out of this, but I'm also on board for Gamma World 7th.

Has Anyone played the d20 Gamma World game?

If you're looking for rules and setting details that describe a world of post-holocaust exploration, danger and weirdness, then GW d20 works really well. If you're looking for wacky character types and a laundry list of "mutant" powers, then GW d20 is not what you're looking for. They toned down...

    Complete Mage product description

...did you seriously just judge a book by its cover?

    Heroes of...

Intrigue and swashbuckling genre books are most likely on the way. I'd bet money on it. Heroes of Mystery is also probable, though it could be folded into Intrigue. Space and post-apocalyptic fantasy genre books would be awesome and I'd buy them in a hot second, but they don't seem likely to...

Magic of Eberron, anyone pick it up yet?

Creating Warforged probably requires a major schema, which aren't detailed in the book -- or explicitly stated as existing, for that matter, but if there are minor schema, I imagine that there are probably major ones too. There aren't a lot of divine options presented in MoE, but no doubt...

    Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved

You want to know why? Just look at the name: Arcana Evolved. Suddenly, no more brand confusion. That may not be the only reason, but I'm sure it didn't hurt when making the decision to release an AU update. Anyway, a full color 416 page book for $50 is a *bargain*. Sign me up.

Anymore "Return to . . ." adventures coming out from WotC?

Nothing to add other than "me too".

Why is Eberron being pushed so hard?

I think the only reason they used the word "medieval" is to emphasize that Eberron is not a setting where you can get +1 flintlocks. Yes there are knighthoods and monarchies in Eberron, but there are knighthoods and monarchies in the 21st century, too. There are obvious parallels to be drawn...

Has the release of d20 material slowed down?

Disappointing, but totally understandable. There'll always be a place in my heart and on my shelves for Penumbra products. For me, it's all about you guys and Malhavoc. Anyway, I've got a question: you mentioned something a while back about an OTE-based Coriolis product. Is this still on the...

DnD Boiling Point: Here's What I Did

Don't run for these people, because they obviously don't want to play the game you want to run. If you insist on running, stop being such a goddamn pushover. If they want to play high-powered characters, run a high-powered campaign *by the book* and make it clear you won't rewrite the rules...

Would D&D or RPGs have been invented without Gygax or Arneson?

There's an article on The Forge, A Hard Look at Dungeons & Dragons, that addresses this subject (among others). Check it out.

How do you leave a gaming group?

The high road would be to talk to the DM beforehand and work out a way for your PC to exit the game gracefully, if not heroically. The middle road would just be to say something along the lines of "something's come up and I can't play any more."

    Nostalgia

Got it in one, son. What these people miss is that the joy isn't in the game, or at least it's not solely in the game -- it's the act of playing. I haven't played with my childhood gaming group in nearly ten years, but when I'm with one of my new groups, and it clicks, it's the exact same...

    Dungeon #107/Polyhedron #166

It's support for a non-WOTC, non-D&D d20 product. Yes, it's d20 and fantasy. No, it's not D&D, because Freeport isn't an officially licensed D&D product like, say, Warcraft or Kingdoms of Kalamar. Thus, support goes in Polyhedron. That's my best guess, anyway. Maybe this will lay the ground...
