OOC: Cap should be able to use more scrolls of Instant Locksmith.
'k will try this again . . . . .
Also, I think you may need to relocate the previous post to it's proper home.

*blush*Last time:
Cappizzio pulls out a scroll, reads it and then flexes his fingers. He then attempt to pick the tricky lock again, but thingsd must be getting frustrating for him. Wait, did he just growl in frustration? He straitens his back, rolls his shoulders and tries again . . . . .

1d20+25=27

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

Another scroll gets pulled out, gets read, he heaves a BIG SIGH and tries again.

1d20+25=28

"Nyahhhhhherrrgg! ridiculous!"

yet another scroll . . . . . sweat beads on his brow with the concentration . . . . .

1d20+25=32

OOC: does this work?

SUCCESS!!

*Click!* The mechanism is by-passed and the door opens safely, revealing a 30x30 foot room, with the entrance being in the northernmost square of the east wall. Inside the room are: an enormous trunk, a huge chest, two coffers, a small, locked strongbox, a shelf containing several interesting items, and, against the east wall are arrayed a variety of arms and armor, each displayed on a rack, and each accompanied by a gold plaque with an inscription. There is a red semi-circle painted on the floor in the northwest corner with a rune-image of a door inscribed above it.

"Bout time," announces Tylara as she eases into the room bow at the ready. She moves slowly toward the racks of arms and armor along the East staying well away from the painted floor in the Northwest corner. As she gets close she takes bow and arrow in one hand and casts simple spell to allow her to see any magical emanations from the items in the racks or the plaques. She does not read the inscriptions or touch anything until others have checked for traps.

"Ok, its an old design, One I have never seen, one that has not ever been taught to me . . . . .Oh, what is that . . . .KLICK!"

Cappizzio jumps out of his skin. "sheesh, that was hard."

"Bout time," announces Tylara

"Next time you can do it. Wow, that's a lot of bait for a really nasty trap. Time for more trap finding."

cast detect magic, then check for traps. (how many trap checks to cover the room, including items)

OOC: 7 checks should cover everything DeWar

IC: everything on the shelf on the morth wall radiates magic, including a square box, a set of bracers, a small pile of cloth, a necklace, a pair of boots, and two more somewhat larger piles of cloth. the strongbox radiates strong transmutation magic. Among the weapons, the bastard sword radiates a significantly brilliant chunk of magic, as does the composite longbow. The suit of full plate is magical, as is a large steel shield. The red circle on the floor is magical, too.

"well isn't that peculiar, there are no traps in here." His voice is a bit shaky, like he doesn't believe his findings. But he does walk ten feet in to test his theory.
