I've played the same gnome in various incarnations for years (in DnD, GURPS and freeform systems). When I DM he is one of my major NPCs too

other than Orbril the gnome I've played 5 humans, 2 half-orcs and a goblin

Elf, Human, and gnomes. If you ask by next week, I could add Half-elf to the list.

I played in 3.0 as a Half-orc too, but that doesn't count.

Almost always humans (Rogues, Rangers, Bards, Fighters, Wizards), with the occational Dwarf (Clerics, Fighters). Non-core I've played a few gnomes using the Midnight race stats and flavor in a homebrew.
I generally don't like playing Elves, halflings or halves, though if I came up with a cool concept, I would play pretty much anything.

Darn it to Heck. You said 3.5, and I put Half-Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Half-Orc. I should drop that list only to Gnome and Half-Orc. As the others were played in 3.0. I usually DM, which is why my list is short.

Just one human

I've only been playing one game and one character since 3.5 came out. I've been playing the same human white robe in Dragonlance for a little over a year now.

In 3.0 I've played an orc, an elf, a halfling and a half-orc.
