Green Ronin have announced they have signed a licensing agreement with James S. A. Corey to adapt The Expanse series of novels as a tabletop roleplaying game. The Expanse series is one of the best sci-fi series of novels and novellas around at present and is currently also on TV screens worldwide as a hit TV series.
Feder & Schwert are currently running a Kickstarter for Der erste Spielleiter: Eine Comic-Biografie uber Gary Gygax or – given it’s English title – Rise of the Dungeon Master:Gary Gygax and the Creation of F&D. The graphic novel, written by David Kushner and illustrated by Koren Shadmi was released earlier this year and tells the story of Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons.

In a case of ‘very much didn’t see this one coming’ Fantasy Flight Games have today announced the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game 30th Anniversary Edition – a limited edition two book set of the original West End Games Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and The Star Wars Sourcebook from 1987.

The Draw of Glenfallow is a 5th edition adventure module by W.S. Quinton that’s currently running on Kickstarter. The adventure is the first part of a new series called the Tarot Adventrues, with each adventure themed after the cards in a Tarot deck. The Draw of Glenfallow sets the stage for the series by introducing a key character (Pieron) and is designed for characters levels 1 to 3.
The Free League, in partnership with Modiphius Entertainment, have just released a new adventure for the 2017 ENnie’s Judges Spotlight Winner Coriolis – The Third Horizon RPG. The Dying Ship is a 35 page PDF by Nils Karlen and Kosta Kostulas set on the ice hauler Orun II.
Andrew Valkauskas (Fate of the Norns: Ragnarok RPG) is back with Vanagard, a brand new collaborative storytelling card game that features some fantastic artwork. Utilising both roleplaying and board game techniques the players create their characters as they play and overcome challenges presented as the rounds storyteller weaves a scene based upon the story card they play. As characters overcome the challenges presented they can increase their levels and further expand their tales.
In 2012 Iron Sky was released and became a cult hit movie. The sequel, Iron Sky: The Coming Race is being released on 14th February 2018 alongside the official Roleplaying Game which has just launched on Kickstarter! Headed up Dirk Vandereyken, and with a host of industry names such as Steven Long, Michael Surbrook and Darren Watts, writing it the game has an all star cast.

All kidding aside, many of these indie products will be featured in the next couple of reviews, and I’m really looking forward to it.
D&D Beyond, the official online toolkit for 5th Edition D&D, is now live - just in time for Gen Con! With a character builder, online rules compendium, digital character sheet, and more, the software has been in beta testing for a while. D&D's relationship with electronic tools has never been an easy one -- Master Tools, Gleemax, DungeonScape all being failed initiatives - but D&D Beyond looks like it might be the one which actually breaks that curse.
Lost Tales of Myth Drannor is an official D&D Adventurers League book containing six adventures for characters of levels 1-20. It is billed as a promo for Gen Con's 50th anniversary, although it will eventually appear on the DMs Guild -- from DDAL's Greg Marks: "It is a book that is a promo for GC50 and cons the admins are invited to. It will eventually appear on the DMsGuild."

Green Ronin has revealed the cover of Modern AGE, the contemporary version of their Fantasy AGE ruleset. The Adventure Game Engine is Green Ronin's universal ruleset, which began with Dragon Age, continued with Fantasy AGE, and which powers Will Wheaton's Titansgrave setting and Blue Rose. Modern AGE will have its own settings, too, including the World of Lazarus, based on the comic series by Greg Rucka.
