Theroc: The basics of the story seems fine, I can put up some more info on Léaram, Alarinn, Consaber, or whatever else if you want. Is there anything in particular you're wondering?

Human would probably be a very solid choice, seeing as how most of the population of the world are human. Tiraks might be a good idea too, as they fill about the social roles of goblinoids, orcs, and half-orcs (and sometimes they can be close to ogres too). Dwarves comes as a natural enemy to Léaram elves, but they usually have a strong sense of honor and aren't too often plotting to take over the world (like humans tend to be). However, dwarves and elves tend to get into fights, so it wouldn't be an awful choice anyway. Otherwise there's still animals or beasts - animals are quite common enemies, and beasts are dangerous ones where you might need any bonus you could get.
But humans are definately a solid choice. If someone's out to kill you, there's a good chance they are human.

EDIT: Oh, and one thing, sorry to change the rules once more: Decided to go with the saves option above, if that's okay with you - saves are 1/2 character level, +2 if they are good saves in any class the character has. So instead of base saves 4/2/0, you'd have 3/3/1. This also affects defense. If you strongly disagree with the rule, we could skip it, but I think it's a quite good system since it averages out multiclass saves and since you don't end up with as low saves in the bad saves area. So if you go 3/3, by level 6 you'll have 5/5/3 instead of 6/5/2.

So, Animal and "beast" are two different types? Is "Beast" the Mundana equivalent of "Magical Beast"?

If so, it'd make the most sense for her first favored enemy to be beasts, if they are remotely unnatural, her affinity for nature causing her to abhor 'abominations'. My second Favored enemy will become whatever tries to kill the party most often...(Swift Hunter Feat will let my 3/3 count as Ranger 6 in regards to favored enemies)

As for particulars about Alarinn, I was wondering whether the Clans would discourage Aliandrys being a more 'naturalist' insofar as exploring the woods more than roaming about, and whether it'd be acceptable for her to be the Learam equivalent of a 'Noble'?

As for the saves rule, that drops my defense to +7, yes?

Huh. Interesting. I've never noticed they removed beasts in 3.5.
In 3.0, beasts were magical beasts that weren't magical. Owlbears, ankhegs, gray renders, hydras and so on. Stupidly enough, dinosaurs were also considered beasts for whatever reason.

Anyways, seeing as how they've joined beasts with magical beasts in 3.5, that's what I meant. Makes sense, since both were quite uncommon groups (though including many different beasts), but the choice of name where quite stupid. I could see a blink dog as a "beast", but I have a hard time seeing a girallon as a "magical beast". Anyways, I meant the creatures that are now considered "magical beasts". Although the ecology is different here, some creatures will still be considered beasts.

Well, the clans are quite freely organized, and it's quite common for young elves to find a passion in different things. Nature is one of the most frequent. There aren't really Léaram nobles, elves in general don't have any kind of nobling. They do have leaders, usually a Responsible, but those are either democratically voted for or simply the only ones who WANT to lead the clan. That said, some families may be richer than others, and especially compared to humans when it comes to having "stuff". Also, some elves are more respected than others and may have a favorable position in elven society due to this. Generally though, elven clans are somewhat "communistic" in that it's quite classless and that the land is collectively owned by the clan.

Yeah, drops your defense to 7.

By 'noble' I'd meant the Learam equivalent... which seems to be a Clan leader whose clan is highly respected. No real laws saying they are special, but they are respected.

So, I could have Aliandrys decide to adventure without being a social outcast, and maintain family ties and such?

Yes! Most young elves do something akin to adventuring, may it be as a traveling merchant (mostly Pyar there, though), joining a war band, killing some dwarves, or whatever. When they get older they go back to their families. That said, you're 213 years away from when that usually happens :)

Alrighty, I'll work on getting her description and history up in the next day or so. Stuff still kinda hectic around here, just found out my mom needs eye surgery for her glaucoma...

Ouch! Well, you don't have to stress too much, especially not since Seph seems to have disappeared at least temporarily. We'll see what happens.
And hope the surgery goes well.

OK. Made final touchups (I hope)

1. 16 went from Str to Dex
2. Weapon changed from Longsword to scimitar to Saber (equivelent to rapier in everyway just looks better - that's very important)
3. Init, Defence, Reflex, most of my skills changed because of the stat change.

Now, in general (until I can get Combat Expertise), my PC will always fight defensively together with the Sappire Nightmare Blade. Should I somehow capture this on my PC sheet or not?

To do: Write up history.

Please double check my crunch again, since the change to saves.

Appearance:
Aliandrys was a fair elf, slightly taller than is typical for a Learam, her build somewhat slender.
Her crystal blue eyes were vibrant and full of life, and her gait has a bounce to her step, at least when she's not sneaking about.
She wore a chain shirt over a cloth tunic, protecting her as she explores, the armor doing little more than standard clothing to conceal her appearance.

@Wysiwyg: Seems alright, but wouldn't a sabre be similiar to a scimitar more than a rapier? Rapiers are straight thrusting weapons, sabres and scimitars curved cutting weapons. Thrusting with a sabre is quite hard I'd say, having done a little medieval fencing as a hobby some years ago.

@Most seem alright, only detail I can see is Strength 12 is listed as giving a +2 modifier in the beginning though it's corrected later throughout.

Just one detail though: You seem to mix grammatical tense (it's called that in English right?) in your appearance section. Like was a fair elf (imperfect) and has a bounce to her steps (presens). Sorry for being grammatopolice, just wanted to point it out as it striked me as odd XD

EDIT: One thing that might be a problem though, is that you don't share any language with anyone else in the group, except that Lucas might know a few simple word in Felya.

Which made me think about something.
@Toptom: You do realize you're not literate right? Since your bio includes reading, but you could have employed a reader, on the other hand.
