[4e] GM wanted: Paragon tier adventure?

Does anyone have any general advice for stat layout and such?

I suppose I should ask Eblue how many levels he intends this game to cover, as that would affect whether or not I'd want odd stats or reduce them to evens to balance out weak stats more.

Place even stats, it's always the best IMO.
I'll also suggest you to choose some CHA based skill, since you have 21
As for feats, how about a multiclass feat for warrior or something sturdy? I'm just delirius here antway. I'll suggest implement exertice for bonus nastiness, and Dire blizzard (Is that the name?) the one that adds damage to cold based powers. Also I've seen that dragonborn racian feats are quite neat for their breath weapon.

Well, if I follow your first advice, the 21 would be 20, as I'd pay for 15's in str and cha, netting me 20's in those stats by level 11.

I'm not sure whether or not that would pay in the long run, which was part of why I asked about it.

um, I'd recommend specializing in what you do best. I'd go 16 at least to start with, and bumping Cha at least every opportunity. You're a big scary ice dragon! I mean, if Eblue won't be annoyed by lasting frost stuff, sure; go wild. Otherwise, what else makes you a big strong dragon?

Sorcerous blade channeling means you can attack in melee, and if you decide to add a str-based PP or MC option at any point you can use it for other attacks. It's a good emergency-needs feat for you, if you get mobbed or grabbed or something.

Or, if you prefer, you could beef up your Dex or Int for some level of AC/Ref bonus. Considering Scion of Arkosia, you will be mobile and dragony, which means getting attacked at range, which means reflex or AC. You should take some option for that feat-wise, even if that means leather armor feats.

If you're choosing items, consider that you'll be resistant to at least one energy type, possibly 2. That leaves you many other avenues of being murdered by our kindly DM. Resistance armor is your friend.

Skills: Intimidate is a must, for a dragon. You've got Cha and Str, so if you can get Athletics you should.

Otherwise, think of what shores up defences, adds to attacks, and moves you around. And what would be fun in play (hat of disguise? fan of fart-removal?! Or even just character-illustrating items, like an ever-smoking pipe)

Most likely, all starting stats will be created using the standard point buy method, with all the characters having the "standard" wealth (whatever standard is for a level 11 character). I may add some stuff to that for the beginning (such as an extra feat, or an additional item) but I won't take away from that baseline. So, feel free to go forward with that info.

That's a good question, and it depends mostly on the players. If we want to take this all the way to epic level, we certainly can. It will take a while, but I usually just say one adventure at a time.

do you want us to email you our histories separately?

I was wondering if I could have an item be an artifact that could have extra powers *if* I somehow awaken it. It's in my character history, and I think it's pretty cool. I can mention it here or PM it to you.

What could we do about a nifty mount?

I'm still tweaking the character build and background for the Wizard|Cleric. I'm excited to see how the final version runs!

Apologies for the delay all, I'll be working on getting some more of my sorcerer fleshed out. I think I'll go with 20's in the two primary stats instead of 21's, spreading my stats around a bit more. Things have been a bit hectic around here and I'm having trouble figuring out what to do.

Eblue: The Frost Weapon, you'll allow it's At-Will to convert sorcerer spells to frost damage?

No prob, and I wil allow it (see my earlier post.) I will be able to start putting more effort into the campaign this week.
