[4e] GM wanted: Paragon tier adventure?

I'm off to the skunk vet, however if I have time before work, I'll update the list with WD's and r1's characters. I may rework and rename my character... Updates later.

Take your time CaBana. I finally have a coherent plot in my head, with a developing storyline and characters. I will probably be able to get parts of it down on paper this weekend, with a full-fleshy detailed mess by the end of the next week.

So no one knows each other? That will change my character thoughts. So that it's known my PC can't be surprised nor can anyone within 5 of him.

Let's say that you each have heard of each other in passing stories and Bard's tales, but you have not formally encountered one another.

If you WANT to have known each other, you must present to me (on these boards or PM, or whatever) an RP history of when you met, how long, under what circumstances, etc. Otherwise I will base the adventure on what I said previously.

And by the way CaBaNa, you may now splooge some healing in The Dustbowl :P

Before writing the history, tho, could we have an idea of what the world is like? Or can we inform the world with our histories? How epic, for example, can they be? Are there any worldwide events like a war that we would know about? Interplanar events? Is this PoL?

I ask because every setting has assumptions, even implicit ones, for how certain things work. FR might have floating islands only for netheril, but Eberron would allow them as a matter of course.

I'm assuming you mean Points of Light. Since I'm not entirely sure what that is, I'll say no. Without giving away anything (and bearing in mind this is all subject to change on a complete whim), here is a bit of setting;

The opening scene will take place in Feydorwin, a city that has been completely enveloped in the Fey for centuries beyond remembrance. For a reason unbeknownst to all of you, you have been summoned, in one form or another, to the leader of the city-state. All (and I mean all) of your previous adventures have happened somewhere outside of Feydorwin, but they can still have occurred in the Fey at some point. Your knowledge of the city is extremely limited as it has stayed in the Fey, but those that dwell within Feydorwin know of you.

So, take it as you will, but I'm making the assumption that most of you (unless you describe it by above) will not know each other, and have had your own adventures. Whether or not they are earth-shattering is completely irrelevant at the moment, other than whatever you have done has captured the attention of the hierarchy of Feydorwin.

I ask because every setting has assumptions, even implicit ones, for how certain things work. FR might have floating islands only for netheril, but Eberron would allow them as a matter of course.

I realize this, and I'm keeping it intentially vague for a few reasons. One is that I simply don't have the time to flesh everything out yet, and two; I don't want to restrict anyone too much.

awesome. A mysterious city of Legend. Sounds like exactly the sort of place to start an adventure!

I'll take, I dunno, a day and think up some adventure highlights; explain my items, I think.

Eblue, since apparently this particular bit is not yet solidly decided in general, I'm going to ask for your ruling.

Would you allow the frost weapon's at-will power to convert my Sorcerer spells into frost damage? If not, I need more information on this:

Rod of the Dragonborn
When you use a power with this implement, the damage you deal with the power is of the same damage type as the damage dealt by your dragon breath.

So I know whether or not I'll be able to convert my powers into frost or if I need to worry about my power selection more.

As for history, I was thinking of Sulos being a 'Northmen' and feeling he was descended from some Dragon-King of the North Wind. Basically, he would think he's descended from the guy who controls the blizzards and cold storms.
