WOTC is going to make it like Farmville. They are tired of going after the young video game crowd, so now they are targetting the 40 year old women.

You have to check on your character every 20 minutes or they get negative levels.

If you get negative levels, you have to spam facebook friends so they can send you restoration scrolls.

YOUR FRIEND ANNIE IS REQUESTING A +3 VORPAL WEAPON TO FIGHT THE JABBERWOCK. Snikitty snack!

It's even worse in Germany. The Dark Eye RPG has had many solo modules which were re-released as [handy - nooooo!] mobile games. Following the reasoning shown here, a dice-less, mobile-based version of the game will soon replace what we once loved so dearly.

Bluethoothification of RPGs! "I synchronise my attack roll with your iPad". "Would you "Like" me build? I need more clicks on Facebook"! "Wait, the GM just twittered that the wizard left the tavern!"

You heard it here first.

If they confirm a 5e announcement was canceled that is basically doing a 5e announcement. I did hear rumors from some pretty reliable sources at the con though.

Here's a link to the original rumor, or the rumor of the rumor, on this site:

Anyone have a link to anything better?

I was with him (Morrus) when he got one of the messages and I know who the source is. The person is not one I know that would spread unfounded rumors and they are in a position to know. I was a little surprised when I heard who Morrus was getting the information from.

It is still possible for a trustworthy person who is in good position to be incorrect. It may be a bit surprising, but it happens often enough.

I understand, I can't verify the rumor but I can at least verify the source for people that are doubting it.

There's so many people trying to put the cork back in the elephant I almost missed the blast.

I'd actually love a handheld 'D&D Adventures' game where you could go on solo dungeon crawls and wilderness exploration and such. But each person would have a single character at a time, and you could call for help, which would summon in a PC from your friends list. Then that PC gets a few extra bonus XP.

Crothian , An honest question, please take at face value even if your answer is simple:

Why will you not reveal the source?
