Jahred, having acknowledged the offerings from those in the tavern, seems to wait for more, but hearing nothing he calls to those who have pledged their swords,
"My friends my situation is most grievous, come closer, and I will provide some details," He moves to an empty table, and waits for the others to gather around,
"You see, the last two weeks in my city have been rife with scandal and dark omen. The spark that set this fire (and quite literally), the unveiling of an organized crime ring being run right under our noses.
"The ring was exposed by a group of talented souls hailing from this very tavern.
"We now know that this ring of thieves was to blame for several mysterious deaths, but only shortly after the gang's incarceration, several prominent individuals in the city have gone missing.
"The first two were our city's Master Armorer, and our city's most wealthy benefactor. The Master Armorer was a dwarf named Hankel Mast, whose craftsmanship was unequaled in all of Avenroc or Erkemhest for that matter. He left on business with the benefactor, a gentleman (though I dare not use that term now) named Lars Hallmaster. At the time of their departure, Sir Hallmaster was in good standing with the city, but in questioning the thieves, we learned that he was their mastermind.
"Shortly after this, several of the talented fellows who exposed the thieves disappeared. Mr. Mast's apprentice told us that, fearing for Mr. Mast's life, the talented fellows who exposed the thieves volunteered to go off on yet another quest to retrieve Mr. Mast and bring Sir Hallmaster to Justice.
"Shortly after this, the most respected professor and Headmaster of our university, Amatalystan Shea Aramista, has disappeared, without a warning. He communicated with no one about traveling plans, and left no messages. The last time anyone had seen him was the day the fellows from this tavern disappeared, supposedly to look for Mr. Mast.
"So you see how these events seem like more than coincidences," He looks from face to face at the table to gauge the group's understanding,
"We will give you whatever resources you need to solve this mystery and save the city of Rioc Alair from its military, financial, and academic crisis." He pulls out two folded sheets of vellum from a pack on his belt. Unfolding the larger of the two sheets, he reveals that it is a map of a land foreign to the Transitive Isles.
"These are our lands," he begins as he spreads the map out on the table:[sblock=Large Map]
[/sblock]
"The larger of the two continents is Erkemhest, here:[sblock=Location of Erkemhest]
[/sblock]
"The smaller is our land of Avenroc:"[sblock=Location of Avenroc]
[/sblock]He then unfolds the smaller of the two maps,
"This is a map of the cities around the Northbay of Avenroc, and the city of Rioc Alair is located here:[sblock=Location of Rioc Alair]
[/sblock]
"Sir Hallmaster and Mr. Mast were supposedly headed for the City of Efil, located here:[sblock=Location of Efil]
[/sblock]
"We, unfortunately, have no idea where Professor Aramista was going., but we imagine it was related to Mr. Mast's and Sir Hallmaster's disappearances due to the close timing.
"These continents are several weeks journey from here by sea, but we know that the sea has secrets, one of which was able to cut the length of the journey considerably.
My ship is waiting for us in the harbor, shall we be off?"

Thanks for being patient, and joining me. I'm still hoping for a controller(Level 7-9), but if none are about, I'll start anyway. I'll have the adventure thread link some time tonight.
