Hmm, I'm thinking at least 5th-level since so many of my races have Level Adjustments.

Also, what system are you thinking of using? That, ultimately [and realistically], will probably be my deciding factor.

Sounds very interesting and I am would like to participate, but it will be a week and a half before I can really work on a character. We operate under a contract with the state and next week is their annual visit to look over our program, so I will be crazy busy the rest of this week and all of next. If you still have room after that I'll eagerly submit a character.

So, one vote for The Fallenlands, then? Heh.

And I'm not even sure how much time I'll have for the game. This will be my third PbP game I'm running. When the game starts, I'm sure the initial posting will be frequent, but I won't pressure anyone to post more than once a week. And, as always, real life for everyone involved always take priority over the game.

That's okay, it will likely take me some time to pick the campaign locale and adventure I want use. I'll try to focus down on one continent for the start sometime before the weekend. Since the two I'm considering are close together in the world (compared to Harqual and the other Western Continents), it wouldn't be hard to travel to either of them for higher-level adventures.

Well, the setting, if its the Fallenlands will be primarily desert, expansive mountains, and Janni city-states (but not Arabian-like). Humans will be very rare.

For Kanpur, the setting is leaning towards Bard's Gate, as the PC's home base. The region around that city is mainly wilderness with deep forests. Real world influences will include eastern European, Slavic Russia, and invading Mongols.

I'll also mention that I currently prefer mid-to-high level (7-14).

The game won't likely start that high. It will all depend on the adventure I choose. A Fallenlanden campaign would likely have a higher starting point since most of its races have major LA/ECL adjustments.

It will be D&D v.3.5. It's the system I'm comfortable with.
