D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

I have implemented Headbomb's suggestion for the weight carried button. Behold, version 8.3:

Character Sheet/Generator v8.3 (21-9-2015) has the following changelog:
- Added a new button “Weight”, where you can select the stuff that is and isn’t added to the “Total Weight” on the second page (as per the suggestion of Headbomb)
- Armor, shield, and weapons now auto-fill their weight fields. These fields can be made visible with the “Modifiers” button

As a side note, it seems as though Avast has fixed the issue with false positives. This new version that I just made, is not detected as containing a virus (as far as I can tell). Can somebody with Avast antivirus please confirm this?

I LOVE this! Especially useful if you have a bag of holding. You just don't feel the weight and this makes it very easy!

Seems to work flawlessly, within the limitations of the current design at least.

Still don't like how ammo is handled. E.g. we have a crossbowman in the party, who uses both silver bolts and regular bolts in two different quivers. Before each fight, he load his quivers to maximum, and put the extra ones in his backpack.

So you have a situation like
Quiver 1 - 20 Regular bolts
Quiver 2 - 19 Silver bolts
Backpack - 18 Regular Bolts

That's why I had it setup the way I had in my mockup a few pages ago.

The crossbowman's ammo section, ideally, would read something like

HTML:
Regular bolts (39) Silver bolts (19)
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][X]
[Reload quiver] [Reload quiver]

Let's say during the fight, he shoots 4 regular bolts and 2 silver bolts. That would read
HTML:
Regular bolts (35) Silver bolts (17)
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][X][X][X][X] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][X][X][X]
[Reload quiver] [Reload quiver]
(Totals are updated live)

After the fight, he finds back 2 regular bolts, and 1 silver bolt. Updates his totals.
HTML:
Regular bolts (37) Silver bolts (18)
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][X][X][X][X] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][X][X][X]
[Reload quiver] [Reload quiver]
And then clicks each 'reload quiver', and is ready for the next fight
HTML:
Regular bolts (37) Silver bolts (18)
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][X][X]
[Reload quiver] [Reload quiver]

Don't get your panties in a bunch, it is work in progress as always ;) I just haven't found a good way of incorporating your ideas for ammo. So while I'm exploring the options, I though I would release a version that has most of the additions you thought of.

No worries, my panties are still pristine and sealed in their package. Just expanding on my idea a bit to highlight what I think is good about it, and mention the reload quiver idea.

Just wanted to voice my thanks for your work on this, I downloaded it the other day to load in the character I recently started playing, and it's AWESOME! My guy is a Fighter/Rogue multiclass, and your sheet handled everything wonderfully. I definitely intend to be using this for all my character's going forward.

Like Headbomb, the ammo section isn't all that useful for me, but mostly because I'll be using a printed copy when I actually go to my game sessions. I don't bring my laptop, so I won't be "reloading" my quivers digitally. :) But having all my various race & class abilities automatically added to the sheet where I can refer to them quickly is wonderful, not to mention auto-recalculating all my skill & attack modifiers as I level up!

Just a quick question, and please forgive me if it's been asked before. When you release a new version of this sheet, is there a way to import a character we've created with a previous version of the sheet into the most recent version? If not, it's no big deal, I doubt it'd take me long to copy things over anyway. Thanks again for this amazing piece of work!

You can only export if you have either
1: The full version of Adobe Acrobat or
2: Foxit Reader

If you use Foxit Reader, don't use it for anything else except for exporting.

Once exported, you can import using Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I have found FoxIt to be dicey at best. This form is great with Adobe but I fear most other .pdf viewers aren't going to be able to cut the mustard, as it were.

Quick question for you MPMB: Do you find Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to work well as an exporter?

As I said, use Foxit ONLY to export and nothing else. Otherwise, it can't handle the sheet. I have exported with no problem. The problem comes in when you try to do something with the sheet other than exporting.
