D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

If MPMB gets a C&D, I suppose everybody who uses the sheet could do a write in campaign to WotC. MPMB's sheet is far better than anything they've put out (which is a fill-inable sheet where absolutely nothing is calculated).
Please note that there currently is no Cease and Desist order, I only have the one email from DMs Guild. So perhaps that means I can distribute the sheet with just the SRD content outside of DMs Guild? I'm not sure and this is the main question that I have asked WotC.

It would be a huge shame if MPMB sheet becomes unavailable or has to have all non-SRD material stripped. It is a massively useful tool and I hope development is able to continue (on DMsGuid, Patreon, or elsewhere).

I suspect WotC may be cracking down to try driving people to D&D Beyond. Of course, the character creator there is currently MUCH more limited (no UA, no custom content possible, etc).

Does anyone know if other full-featured auto-calc character sheets are receiving similar notices?

Magic Items are not (yet) part of the automation. Nothing you do in the magic item section will affect the rest of the sheet.

However, you can add modifiers to any of the calculated values of the sheet, effectively changing the result. You can do this with the Modifier fields. These Modifier fields are hidden by default and you can toggle their visibility with the "Mods" button in the 'JavaScript Window'-toolbar and with the "Modifiers" bookmark.

For weapons, armour and shields you can also add a modifier by writing it as "+1" or "-5" into the name field for either. This will be added to both weapon damage and to hit for attacks, or to AC for armour/shields.

as well, is there a way to manually add spells? like "booming blade" to my bard list?
Booming Blade is included in the sheets by default, and will be available as long as you include its source. However, it is not available as a Bard spell, because per the official rules, it is only available for Wizards, Sorcerers, and Warlocks.
When setting the spells for a class in the Spell Selection Dialogue, you have three columns, one for the cantrips, one for spells, and one for "Extra". It is this 'Extra' column that allows you to choose any spell you want and that is the easiest way for you to add an otherwise unavailable cantrip to a class' list of known spells.

You can also add your own custom spells/races/classes/feats/items/weapons/etc. to the sheet, and even change things currently in the sheet, using the "Add Custom Script" functionality. Using the "Add Custom Script" bookmark you can open a dialogue with buttons linking to various resources.

I can adjust skill, initiative as well as passive perception, but ability modifiers seem to be set in stone...

I posted this on my Patreon yesterday, but I guess people here are also interested.

If you are looking for the latest version of the sheet (v12.998), send me a direct message.

EDIT:

Please note that if you already bought the sheet on DMs Guild some time in the past, you can still get the latest version via your My Library page on DMs Guild.

If anybody is looking for the latest version and can't get it via my Patreon or their DMs Guild Library, send me a PM and I can hook you up! (But don't expect any response before tomorrow morning because it is getting late here)

You could try writing to Wizards of the Coast to see if you can license your .pdf directly with them? I have no idea how much something like that would cost, but I suspect it would mean the end of the "Pay what you want" at DMsGuild, as you would probably have to have a solid price to offset the cost of the licensing.

Still. Good luck! I love this sheet and I don't want to see it go away :(
