Pathfinder 2E Release Day Second Edition Amazon Sales Rank

I think that's an exaggeration. I think Paizo will be fine. I don't think PF2 is doing what they anticipated or hoped it would do, but I also don't think it's doing that bad. I don't think it's doing worse than PF1 was doing before they announced it (though I am still unsure).
Yes. Paizo has diversified themselves well and I also think they will be very much fine. And I also believe that PF2 is not meeting their hopes. Or, at least, two years from now will not be where they would like to be.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is doing better than PF1E was right before the announcement. But that had become a pretty low bar.

IMO, it remains no coincidence that the strict math foundation in PF2E is so similar to 4E. And, yes there are lot's of major differences between PF2E and 4E. But they both show a reactionary response to the squeaky wheel of complaints against the (very much real) issues with the 3X foundation. And I think both teams were surprised that while they thrilled the vocal minority of complainers they alienated way more of the people who were quietly happily playing.

I don't think that one can tells much yet as the game was only out for part of the quarter. Once we see the first full quarter early next year we should have a much more realistic number.

It was out for the majority of the Quarter: yes, future Quarters will give more accurate information, but it's an inauspicious start.

Somewhere here a Paizo employee gave a rough number of Paizo forum users and compared to Amazon sales it was a tiny fraction. Note that I think you become a Paizo forum member if you are a subscriber. Also there are other third party online PHB sellers.

Forum members and subscribers are seperate things.

I am a forum member still. But i stopped being a subscriber back in 2011/2012. ( was a charter subscriber member originally). Still have a forum membership, mostly for starfinder and mine some of older AP forums.

I cant be the only forum member thats that a subscriber.

All subscribers are forum members. Not all forum members are subscribers (subscribing assigns one as a forum member if you're not already apparently). One is a subset of the other.
But if your counting numbers like the post said, you cant count number of forum users for purposes of comparing amazon sales. In that case its seperate. Or you have to go through each member still subscribes.( all have totlrs by names)

Again I don't recall exactly how it works (it's been years since this was discussed ) but there is some way to determine total subscribers to the service from forums.
