D&D 5E Chainsword update?

Chainsword is the dnd version of the chainsaw. It is a sword and fine with a magically animated chain running along the blade that when activated cuts threw the target/foe struck by the blade. Now my question is this:the description I gave is for 2nd edition, how would you fine people update it to 5th edition?

An uncommon magical weapon that did an additional d6 slashing damage on a hit when animated. Animating or deactivating it requires a command word (bonus action). It could be heard from up to 300 feet away when animated.

I believe chainsword originated in Warhammer 40K, not D&D.

No maybe about it. Chainsword first appeared in Warhammer 40K, published 1987. Encyclopaedia Magica was published in 1994.

Clearly the chainsword was just making gamerules for the chainsaw sword item which first appeared in the 1992 D&D movie "Army of Darkness".

I believe a chainsword also appeared in the "Timescape" expansion for the Talisman boardgame in 1988 - it was a bit of a Games Workshop trope in the 1980s, so there are probably earlier uses of the term in White Dwarf magazine. Possibly also 2000AD (comic)?

Army of Darkness is clearly a Warhammer movie, not D&D.
