D&D 5E Tasha’s cauldron character thread

Well I definitely want to do a Grey Wolf Rune Knight. (Dogs are a race/lineage choice in Animal Adventures which gives Dogs and Cats as player options.)

Probably gonna have a Kalashtar Psi Knight. (changing the word Warrior for that since I feel it sounds better.)

I like both the Circle of Wildfire and the Way of The Astral Self. And with Astral Self finally being released, I now have my three classes for my three Monk Lamia/Naga sisters.(Open Hand, Way of The Soul Knife, and Astral Self.)

And with Phantom Rogue and Primal Path of the Beast, we now have a crap ton of Shadar-Kai based classes.(via a lot of UA) But I like Path of the Beast as that will probably let me do a Ragewalker for 5E.

And with the Lineage system, I maybe able to make a Revised Ranger Duhallan.

Based on the UA as previews, one idea I'm stashing for an Eberron campaign is a Vulkoori Drow Path of the Beast Barbarian. You can skin all the Beast Path powers as things like manifesting scorpion tail and claws or arachnid style wall climbing. If it makes it in I totally want a Masquerade Tattoo too, so he can have face paint that shifts according to his mood or the situation.

I love the Peace domain. I wasn’t super excited by the Unity version, but the changes finally make it click for me. No immediate plans to play one, but I think it’s pretty neat.

Did they make Fighting initiate a half feat?
No.

Correctly IMO. There is so much variation in what you can take. Some fighting styles aren't worth half a feat, some are definitely worth a full one. A couple of the new fighting styles are very strong. And can switch your style every four levels, which increases it's power.
