certainly the derro are eyeless (I consider them a really aberrant branch of dwarves).....
I mean they all were masks in war so you can figure if they feel pain or hesitation.
might add in dark sorceries towards armies of literal clones and weapons of terror.
dark paladins and cleric of foul and scary gods as all earth and love having long been removed and only hate crulty remains.

I’m thinking Dwarven step pyramids would serve a different purpose than they did for the Mesoamericans.

For one thing, they’d be built in such a way as to be visual homages to certain specific mountain ranges. That would mean some would be adjoining.

And they might just be “regular buildings”- dwellings, workshops, and yes, granaries.

I’d imagine that some would even be used like yakhchāls- ancient buildings constructed in such a way as to store and even make ice…in deserts. And similar building techniques would mean the Dwarven pyramids intended for use as dwellings could be “air conditioned”.

I think the Persians kind of invented air conditioning.

Could be like that. Clever system.

Well that's not as bad as the others. I wasn't commenting on Warhammer Dwarves in general just the oddness of the idea that the a Dwarf with huge decorative wings on there helmet was somehow "not ridiculous".

Although so far no one has posted any pictures of dwarves wearing armour that actually looks like armour.
What exactly does "look like armor" to you?
Especially when it comes to Warhammer I wonder how it does not look like armor.

For example dwarf warriors from the Warhammer TW game (some concept art from it has been posted before)

Gambeson and chain mail. Except for the horns on the helmet that looks rather sensible to me even when you go for realistic armor.

When you go into fantasy territory with oversized shoulder plates you have
BSLQKxr.png

A combination of plate on the upper body and a splint armor skirt.
Or the "full plate version"

All look convincing and I have seen much worse fantasy armor when it comes to how impractical they are.

So why does that not look like armor to you?

I don't understand why you are posting new pictures when I am commenting on previous ones. Those NEW pictures largely look like armour (except for the helmet with the horns on it).

I did say I wasn't commenting on Warhammer Dwarves in general. It's almost as if you're commenting on a post without having read it.

Only that those pictures have basically been posted before

Those are basically the same types of armor as this is art belongs to the same game. Only the helmet is different because it shows lords and heroes and not rank and file troops (but you can find those models in the game too).

And some of the D&D art is not far of in design, just lower quality (especially the guy on the right)
