From reading the comments, it sounds like this conversion was done in-house. Do we know if that’s true? That would be a change from the way Paizo handled the Kingmaker 5e conversion.
It is in house, specifically they were talking about all the maps and stuff being the same in the thread, but having to change some monsters and stuff. I'm not seeing any other names in the Paizo thread or elsewhere.

I followed Paizo's APs very closely from Dragon to the early PF years and was hugely impressed by some of them, although things like Jade Regent, Mummy's Mask, Savage Tide, and even Reign of Winter could use some updating for modern tastes. Not familiar with this one though.

I have to say though, with the crowdfunded Kingmaker 5e running massively late and hitting delay after delay after delay, if I'd have backed that one I'd be pretty steamed about learning Paizo has been pouring resources into a completely different 5e AP conversion while the one I paid for years ago is still languishing in editing/layout hell.

I might not be remembering right, but isn't the conversion being done by another company... Legendary Games? I might be wrong, though!

I waited over three years for Exalted only to be punched in the face with garbage, so I'm kinda used to it.

I honestly haven't followed it too closely, so i don't know all the details. I believe the other company finished their bit quite some time ago and handed it back to Paizo, in whose hands it has been for some time.

Not sure whether the delays are on Paizo's side, or the other company, or both though.

I've gone through the original Kingmaker.

It shouldn't be THAT hard to convert (or so I would think). You are basically changing around stats for events and encounters as well as XP. For the most part, the descriptive text should not be being changed around, or at least I don't know why they would change it. It was fine as it was.

I'm not sure why it would be taking them so long. I was REALLY tempted to back it when they had the kickstarter, but life intruded (several times, and it seemed right when they were offering the kickstarters/backing) which prevented me from doing so as I got distracted with other things.

Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing...looking at it now.
