When the mysterious Gauntlight, an eerie landlocked lighthouse, glows with baleful light, the people of Otari know something terrible is beginning. Evil stirs in the depths of the Abomination Vaults, a sprawling dungeon where a wicked sorcerer attempted to raise an army of monsters hundreds of years ago. The town's newest heroes must venture into a sprawling dungeon filled with beasts and traps to prevent a spiteful spellcaster from rising again!

This is just the beginning. What do you suppose will happen if/when the 5e version outsells their own brand by a larger margin? You think people are gonna suddenly jump systems? No. They're gonna demand more material for 5e. And Paizo will wave their white flag and happily oblige because it makes good business sense.

So now there is less reason to give Pathfinder a shot. And when another company submits to the 5e siren song, there is even less reason to convince anyone else to try anything else.

Legend
Abomination Vaults reads much better than it plays, and it's better in theory than at the table.
The rooms are too tiny to use strategic movement. The encounters are so close together that it breaks believability that the monsters aren't killing each other or working together. There's next to no role-playing situations or motivation for the adventurers to go on the adventure. The layout is erroneous, having major issues with elevation between the levels.
There's serious metal fatigue in all the load-bearing members, the wiring is substandard, it's completely inadequate for our power needs, and the neighborhood is like a demilitarized zone.
Wow. This place is great! When can we move in? You gotta try this pole. I'm gonna get my stuff. Hey! We should stay here, tonight. Sleep here. You know, to try it out.

If they sold a hardbound book of the Age of Worms converted to 5E, I'd snag it in a heartbeat.

Buuuuut, I'm not sure who would actually own the rights to that one. Is it Paizo who published it when they had the Dragon and Dungeon magazine license, or did it go to Wizards when the license went back to them? Either way, I'm not holding my breath.

My understanding is that Paizo owns the Adventures, but they use WotC IP. So it would need to be a collaborative effort with both signed on.

Stranger things have happened.
